GACKT Official blog update. Translation below:

Sleepy.
Extremely sleepy.
In the end,
after I arrived in Japan,
I turned to morning just like that and I got up to get ready.
I headed for a shoot.

I was finally able to sleep in the car.
Upon arriving at the venue, I immediately went to prepare for the shoot.
Before putting on makeup, I sat in a chair as
my make-up artist was was going to trim my hair, which has grown out,
but I fell asleep in a flash.
When I woke up, my fringe was left as it was but the heavy feeling at the back of my head was gone, leaving a refreshing feeling.

For now,
I’ve decided to grow it out but I wonder how long it can grow…
No,
it’s a problem of how long I can stand it.

Always,
I end up going 【Argh〜〜〜!!!!】 and cut it off.

With make up done, I prepared to shoot.
Recently I don’t really put on much make up so
the preparation itself was very fast.
They only set my hairstyle and it was quickly over.

This time, a bar was leased for us to shoot a poster for alcohol.
In fact, this bar is in one of the places I like going to as well.
And so, it’s a pity but I can’t tell you where it is though….

In an establishment that isn’t that big,
a hell lot of staff were squeezing together here.
The sight from here is quite funny.

There are actually a lot of funny pictures taken that were from the behind-the-scenes.
When everyone has a focused expression on them, I occasionally cannot resist laughing,
and often end up laughing on my own.

Especially during times when the cameraman’s personality comes out a lot,
it gets me when the cameraman becomes really into it.
Or he’ll be a cameraman who makes very slow progress when he completely enters his own world.
The type that I have difficulty in dealing with are those who talk to me
in a cute voice but flips out and yells at their staff.
There are an exceptionally large number of those.

Also,
the cameramen who throw the camera at their staff more and more also get me.
As I calmly think, “Is there a need to throw it?” it makes me lose it.

Recently I haven’t met many of them but
when I just went solo, there were funny people among the early cameramen.

Every time he presses the shutter,
he faces my way, stretches his arm out at me, and each time after it sounds, he’ll point his finger at me.
Then,
he would softly whisper
『Yeeeeeees…』.

It was the most terrible when this person was shooting.
More than half of the shooting time was spent for this man’s trademark pose,
so if that didn’t happen, the shoot would have ended in half the time.

But he will never stop this.
After taking each shot, he will make his pose and look my way.
Well, when I see the stylists trying not to laugh,
I’ll naturally end up laughing so I won’t hold it in.

Other cameramen who remained stuck in my memories included
an older female cameraman who, when taking photos, would say things like
『Yeees… Yes… That’s good…』
『That… There… Right there!!!』
in a voice that sounds like what you’d make when having sex.

That was horrible.
The young me back then got into a weird mood just from hearing that voice.
It’s not a question of whether that cameraman was pretty or not,
it’s that that voice kept continuing on for the entire hour of the shoot.

There were also many times when my rowdy Shogun started rampaging on his own.
There’s nothing I can do about this.

The absolute worst was
while clicking the shutter, she came towards me and said
『That’s riiiiiiiight』
in my ear.

That was really horrible.

Oftentimes the model will fall in love with the cameraman in this industry,
it’s not like I don’t know about this.
I suppose it’s definitely because he or she made them feel great.
The voice influences that too.

I moved to the studio,
and the shoot progressed while I was working on another meeting,
this flow is something that I’m already used to.
Only the staff were incessantly concerned about the time,
and they came to me saying, “Another 3 minutes…”, “Another 2 minutes…”.
In the first place, there is an impossibility in doing a shoot, which has a tight schedule,
and a meeting, that takes time, in the same place.
However,
such an unbalanced combination happening all the time
is also one of the strange happenings in this industry.

Alright,
tonight, after the shoot, I’ll be meeting friends who are celebrating my birthday for me until late.
Lots of friends have purposely set time for me while I’m in Japan.
I have to be careful to not drink recklessly.
Looks like my birthday is still going to continue for now.

Well then, here I go.
