GACKT’s Brand-New Orchestral Concert to Conclude His 25th Solo Anniversary Year
It has been announced that GACKT’s orchestral concert, “GACKT PHILHARMONIC 2025,” will take place on April 13th (Sun) at the Sumida Triphony Hall in Tokyo.
Known for his incredible performance in the “Fly Me to the Saitama” movie series and his outstanding record of 81 consecutive wins on the popular variety show “Celebrity Rating Check”, GACKT has gained overwhelming support across many generations. This concert will highlight the essence of GACKT as both a musician and a performer.
In December 2013, “GACKT × Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra: A Splendid Evening of Classic” was held at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall. The collaboration with the orchestra significantly broadened the scope of GACKT’s music. In December of the following year, a 2nd concert was held, showcasing the excellent compatibility between GACKT’s music, classical elements, and the orchestra.
It has been nearly 10 years since then, and GACKT is once again taking on the challenge of an orchestral concert. This time, he is incorporating members from his own band, YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz, seamlessly blending band sounds and orchestral elements into a unified artistic vision, venturing into uncharted territory.
For this concert, GACKT will collaborate with the Grand Philharmonic Tokyo, an ensemble featuring top-tier musicians active both in Japan and abroad, as well as promising young talents. The group stands on par with the world’s finest orchestras and holds its own against any counterpart. One of the key highlights of this concert will be the Grand Philharmonic’s full orchestra boldly taking on the rare challenge of performing while standing, creating a truly unique experience.
GACKT takes on this concert with a strong commitment to delivering a performance centered around a clear theme. He is focused on crafting a special stage meticulously in terms of visual presentation, encompassing everything on stage, including the orchestra. His extraordinary vision that will be revealed at the venue is truly unprecedented. Attendees are encouraged to fully immerse themselves in this one-of-a-kind experience.

Grand Philharmonic Tokyo
Founded in 2018 as the “Tokyo Impressive Orchestra,” the group was established with the goal of creating employment opportunities for young musicians and providing platforms for cultural and artistic activities. It brings together top-level musicians active in Japan and abroad, as well as promising young talents, and began its activities with its debut performance at the 35th Anniversary Kiyotaka Sugiyama Symphonic Concert 2018.
Since then, the orchestra has engaged in a variety of activities across genres, collaborating with renowned artists such as Yoshihiko Inohara, Taeko Onuki, Kiyoharu, Sachiko Kobayashi, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Shonan no Kaze, Shinji Tanimura, Yuya Tegoshi, and Yo Hitoto.
The orchestra has also been responsible for recordings for TBS’s Sunday drama “VIVANT”, SQUARE ENIX’s “Triangle Strategy”, Netflix’s “Rilakkuma and Kaoru”, and Shochiku’s film “Hello, Mother”.
In January 2020, the orchestra changed its name to “Grand Philharmonic Tokyo” and has since been highly anticipated as a next-generation orchestra. In April 2022, composer Akira Senju was appointed as the Executive Producer.

Gathering time: 15:45 on both the 24th and 25th
You will be called in order of your ticket number.
*We plan to guide you into the venue from 16:00, so please follow the instructions of the staff.
The viewing area inside the venue is all standing, so you can watch from any available space.
When entering, please show your ticket screen and a staff member will check it.
・Regarding participation in the auction
Participants: 1F standing VIP/2F designated VVIP/2F designated SVIP
Gathering time (2F designated VVIP/2F designated SVIP): 16:00 on both the 24th and 25th
