On June 22, Mixi’s XFLAG Studios held a launch declaration event for the Android/iOS tag battle entertainment 「Fight League」 at Belle Salle Akihabara.

At the event, there was a 「Launch Declaration」from the 「Fight League」commissioner Kusui Daichi and a demo play between guests GACKT-san and Taka & Toshi.

It was also announced that「Fight League」will begin service from June 22, and gameplay footage was showcased. The theme song for this game, which is provided by the Yoshida Brothers,「BE THE BEST TOGETHER」, is also being released on June 22.

Finally launched! What’s「Fight League」!

As we will be introducing an early play report and brand information regarding「Fight League」, we would like you to refer to it but here, together with newly released information, we will give a brief summary about this game again.

「Fight League」is a heated tag battle game where two people come together and use their wisdom and courage together. It’s biggest attraction is the experience of making a tag team with your friend and going through numerous battles with them, and then fostering「deep friendship and communication」with your partner in real life as well.

Fighters each have their own specialities and are divided into 5 Brands. The「Design Motif」for each Brand was made by selecting something from the real world, and creating a design with a sense of affinity with a link to that. At the same time, the Fighters have different forms and appearances along with varying arrows and superb abilities called「Fight Arts」depending on their beliefs and abilities.

The player who controls the Fighters create their own original team for each special Brand and challenge themselves in battle. As one person can only use one Brand at any one time, when they team up with a friend, they will be able to bring together 2 Brands and increase the range of strategies they can use to progress well in the game.

With regards to the method of play, first, before a battle, you create a team of 10 Fighters from the same Brand. In battle, during the player’s turn, you will choose a space in a field with 10 spaces where you will place a Fighter, and the Fighter you placed will attack in the directional arrows that they have. Also, at that time, chains where attacks between your allies are linked up can happen, and you can line up your attacks. After doing that, the turns will pass, and the first person to defeat the opponent’s leader wins.

「Fight League」Launch Declaration!

「Fight League」commissioner Kusui Daichi hosted the launch declaration. Kusui said that the concept of「Fight League」was,「a battle game that you can get fired-up and excited over with your friend」, and said that he would like people to not only play with their friends, but their family, acquaintances, and all kinds of people as well.

He also added that in future, similar to sports like baseball or soccer, he hopes that they can realise the popularisation of「Fight League」, and have both the players and the spectators feel enthusiastic about it. To head towards that goal,「Fight League」has been launched in a total of 6 countries and regions; Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Canada.

The game system, controls, and concepts of the Fighters were also introduced, and then it moved on to the demo play by the guests.

Next was the demo play between Taka & Toshi, who were in one team, and GACKT-san & Hiromisu-san, who were in another team.

At the game, Taka-san first spoke about his own weight loss, which had no link to the topic at hand at all, making people laugh. Also, GACKT said that for this day,「I practiced for a week without sleeping」, and with that enthusiasm, the one who would be his partner was Hiromisu-san who was an exceptionally lucky person selected from over 4,000 applicants from the general public.

As for the teams that they used, Taka-san picked「Athlete Creatures」, Toshi-san picked「18th Avenue」, GACKT-san picked「Justice Professionals」, and Hiromisu-san picked「GGG」. Once the actual game started, GACKT-san unerringly developed his heroes. With the way he linked up the chains and the overwhelming amount of it, along with Hiromisu-san as his support, they took the advantage.

On the other hand, as Taka-san used「Athletic Creatures」, which possess excellent attack power, he put a powerful Fighter in front of the hero and applied pressure. However, GACKT-san put a shield on his own hero, used his「Fight Burst」well, and cooperatively, with Hiromisu-san, they wiped out Taka & Toshi’s team hero. They pushed through and won.
