Big Success of GACKT X TokyoPhil 2nd “An Evening of Classical Splendour”

The special collaboration live between GACKT and Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, “An Evening of Classical Splendour” took place on 26 December at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall.

This is the second consecutive year of the live. Split into 2 parts, the first part is the orchestral performance of GACKT songs by Kurita Hirofumi. Songs played were the theme song of GACKT’s wholly produced stage play “MOON SAGA -Secret of Yoshitsune- Chapter 2”, his solo debut song Mizerable and his latest single DAY BREAKERS -Akatsukizukuyo-.

In the second part, GACKT and the orchestra performed 5 popular songs among the fans; including “Love Letter”, “Kagero” and “Sakura, Chiru…”. During the Encore, he said, “Being able to meet everyone here like this, and with the thought of doing this again next year, I’ll sing this song.”, and entered into “12 Gatsu no Love Song”. The event ended with thunderous applause by the audience.
