GACKT Official blog update. Translation below:

I got ready to head out in the morning.
I found a riding centre where I can ride a horse off-track
in an area 2 hours’ drive away from here.
Normally, there are all kinds of regulations, like you can’t ride outside the centre if you’re not used to it,
and you have to take a test,
and even if you can ride outside, you can’t freely go wherever you want.
Since it seems like this place allows me to ride freely, I began preparing early in the morning.

The weather was troubling, with rain.
The car that I booked was waiting for me outside the hotel but
what waited for me wasn’t only the car, but also the unexpected wind and rain.

The weather has been good ever since I arrived in Estonia,
so I never expected that the weather would change for the worse at this point.

The hotel’s concierge escorted me to the entrance and said,

『If it looks like it’s going to rain heavily,
there is a horse stable with a roof near the hotel
and you’ll be able to ride there too so please let us know』

No no,
that’s not the point.
It’s not like I’m going there because I want to ride a horse in a small area.
I want to wander around on a horse, that’s why I’m heading there on purpose.
And I even said that yesterday…
You’re not understanding my distress.
Well, it’s fine.

As we travelled at high speed, in the first hour, it didn’t rain but
in the second hour, a light drizzle started.

『If it’s like this, I wonder if I can go outside…』

While thinking about that, I arrived at the riding stable.
I don’t know in which area this place is located in but looked like we came pretty far.
I can’t see anything that looks like a residence in the area at all.
Plantations continue off into the distance.

As we went into the forest,
the stable stood alone there.

『Finally got here…』

When I stepped out, the owner of the place came out to welcome me.
Although accented, he was able to speak in English.
Wonderful…

Immediately, he showed me the inside of the stables.
He showed me a few horses but they were all big.

『They’re pretty big…』

I mumbled, and the owner said,

『Noー noー noー』 and he showed me the horse I would be riding.
I was shocked by how big it was.

Honestly,
I’ve never seen a horse of this size before.
Apparently, it’s a native breed that’s originally from Estonia, so it’s size
is around 3 times the size of the normal riding horses.
If it’s fur was black and it’s legs were around 1.5 times longer, it’ll be exactly like Kokuoh, the horse that Raoh rides.

The owner passed me a brush,
and I started to brush the horse’s coat.
I told him to let me put on the saddle and reins on my own,
and despite worrying about the weather outside, I brushed a horse for the first time in awhile.
By the time I got onto the horse, I had been working on it for around an hour.

After getting all the work done, I mounted the horse.
When he told to put on a helmet, I said

『No need. If I fall and die, I’ll be responsible for it』

and to that he said,

『Please don’t fall』

while laughing, and began to straddle his own horse.
I wonder how long it has been since I’ve wandered around in a forest on a horse like this.

I heard that it is possible to get to the coast through the forest.
While passing through a rather steep slope,

『This way is a shortcut』

he said, without caring about me.
Anyway, there are so many bugs that it’s troubling.

After around 30 minutes, we left the forest and arrived at the coast.

『So this is the Baltic sea…』

Maybe it’s because of the bad weather that I could see pretty rough waves but
riding a horse on the beach like this feels really good.

When the size of a horse is big,
it doesn’t only mean that it has height, but it also means that its’ girth is exceptionally large,
so my legs can’t fall down as smoothly as usual.
It feels like I’m riding with my crotch quite wide open.

We rode on the beach for quite a bit.
After riding on the coast for awhile, we went back into the forest again,
and he told me that we were going to visit a brook in the mountain.

So we went down an untouched path on the horses.

Even while I thought that my groin hurts halfway through,
I thought that it was just my rowdy Shogun that was badly positioned but…

I thought that there was a strange breeze, so I stood up and looked at my groin,
and the groin area was completely torn.

『For real!!』

So that’s why my Magnum was hurting.
As I wasn’t wearing underwear, it’s been completely sandwiched between the saddle and my ass a few times.
This is the first time I’m experiencing riding a horse with my crotch area completely torn…

『Well, since it’s Estonia it’s fine I guess…』

In the end,
I wandered around while riding the horse for the remaining hour.

I did that with my crotch area still torn up but luckily, there was no one around.
If I were to ride on a beach that was filled with people like this, that would be trouble.

Halfway, the owner said to try picking the natural produce,
like the blueberries growing in the mountains, to eat
so while eating the different berries, we headed back to the stables.

As soon as we arrived at the stable, the rain started falling again.
This time, there really have been many instances like these.

When getting into the car, I looked at my groin.
It’s impressively torn.

『This was my favourite pair of pants too…』

After getting back to the hotel and changing,
I went to eat at a Chinese restaurant I made a reservation at.
So there’s Chinese cuisine in Estonia… I thought, and headed to the restaurant without much expectation.
On the outside, it looks like a normal restaurant but it was done up beautifully inside.

Although on the whole, there isn’t much on the menu,
the menu for Dim Sum was quite a spread.

Usually, overseas, they tend to use frozen items for such Dim Sum.
So without much expectation, I tried asking them.

『Are these frozen?』

The waitress answered with a smile.

『All our food is homemade.
It really is delicious, so please do try it』

Honestly, I don’t believe that at all but I ordered everything to try.
After waiting awhile, I was surprised by a number of Dim Sum served

I normally think that the usual Chinese cuisine is amazing too but
they were served with a multicoloured appearance in French style.

Furthermore,
even each of the Dim Sum were displayed finely.

『What on earth is this????』

When I tried eating it, I was shocked by how delicate it tasted.
I never expected that I would be able to eat something of this level in Europe.
No, rather, I’ve never had such delicious Chinese cuisine in all of America or Europe this far.

『Really… I wonder what is the nationality of the person who made this…』

The taste was exceptionally delicate, and I thought that such fineness can only be brought out by an Asian but
for an Asian, especially if they’re the Chinese who have always been involved with traditional Chinese cuisine,
it will definitely not be served like this.

Maybe because the presentation of the dish looks too European,
the French will use the Italian way of colour presentation to achieve that beauty.

I can’t imagine it at all.

『What on earth is this… It’s really amazing…』

When the waitress brought the next dish over, I asked her.

『Is this made by an Estonian?』

『No, it’s not.
It’s by a Chinese chef』

she answered, and I was honestly surprised.
A Chinese made this???
I can’t believe it.
Indeed, I thought that the delicacy is something that belongs to an Asian
but the presentation sense, undoubtedly, is impossible without a European’s instincts.

『No, but normally, for Chinese, it wouldn’t be presented like this.
I think it’ll be more traditional』

When I said that,

『Our top chef is a Chinese Malaysian.
He’s been trained in England’s HAKKASAN for a long time』

I’ve solved the mystery!

『So that’s why!!』

Wonderful.
No matter which country’s HAKKASAN I’ve been to, this restaurant is by far the most delicious.
With an Asian’s fine precision and the wonderful colour sense of a European,
the sense of presentation, as expected, needs both of these to be complete.

Someone who likes traditional Chinese
may call that heresy but
to me, I’m greatly moved to encounter fusion food with such an exceptional balance.

After finishing my meal,
I told the waitress that I would like to meet the chef himself,
and after awhile, the chef walked to my table.
I stood up, shook his hand, and conveyed my feelings to him.

『Thank you for letting me enjoy such food.
I’m really moved. This will become another one of the reasons for me to visit Estonia again』

I spoke to the chef for awhile but
as I didn’t want to bother him at such a busy time, I decided to end there.
At the end, he sent me off with a gentlemanly smile.

『I’m honoured to have brought you joy.
Please do visit this country again』

I’m happy.
I’m glad that I could find another reason to visit Estonia again.
I’ll come to this restaurant again.

I then went straight to a bar,
and enjoyed my last night.

Anyway,
it was really delicious.
Well, it was a great day.

Except for that rowdy Shogun…
