Singer GACKT, who migrated to Malaysia over 5 years ago, will be revealing the reason for his move on the variety program「Jinsei Daijina Koto wa ○○ Kara Naranda」(ABC・TV Asahi) which will be broadcast on the 16th, and he will also be showing his luxurious home there.
GACKT-san said「In a year, I think I spend around 60% of it in Malaysia, and 20% (living) in Japan」, sharing that he lives in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, for more than half of the year. And the thing that sparked his decision to migrate was「Until my 30s, I’ve been working all the time, and at that time, looking back at it, I’ve got no memories of it, and I’ve just been growing older without making any memories, and as soon as I thought of it, I started going to various countries」. As he travelled around the world moving between countries, the place that he fell in love with at first sight was Malaysia, he said.
Also, he added「When I was young, I was prone to sickness and pretty much lived in the hospital. At the age of 19, undergoing diet therapy was what made start to become conscious of my meals. However, in my 30s my back was quite bad, and it’ll hurt when it’s cold. Because of that, I thought of migrating to live in a region with a warm climate」.
GACKT-san said that he had already moved houses a number of times in Kuala Lumpur, and the home that he will be revealing for the first time on the program is situated in an upscale residential area in the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, and the site covers an area of around 1700 square meters. In 2016, his company「GACKT ＆ IKEDA ASIA BRIDGE PARTNERz」was established too. He will talk about the aim of establishing the company on the program.
