GACKT Official X update. Translation below

My response this time is not because my personality has become more rounded.

If you’ve been performing live for 30 years, you’ll be able to sense and judge the mental state of the fans who come to see you.

This time as well, when I heard the tone of the child’s voice, I decided that it was not normal and that there was a high possibility that he would do something.

“What if he was holding something like a knife and he turned on you?”
“What if the fans around him get hurt?”

That thought went through my head.

If that happens, not only will the tour be cancelled, but it will have a huge negative impact on the entertainment industry.

That’s why, while waiting for the staff to respond, I prioritized calming the child down, and tried to break into laughter so as not to ruin the atmosphere.

Well, it’s unfortunate that the production and live staff were late in responding. . .

As a later story, the child, who was covered in bruises from self-inflicted injuries, caused major problems at other live events and was involved with the police.

When so many people gather at a live venue, there will be quite a few strange people mixed in.

I think that live management that relies heavily on the assumption that a major accident does not occur is nothing more than a lack of sense of crisis on the part of the producers and arrogance that comes from negligence.

To begin with, almost 99% of live venues in Japan do not have any security checks.
The level of awareness of the sense of crisis is different from overseas.

In order to ensure that everyone can enjoy entertainment with peace of mind, people involved in entertainment should always assume the worst-case scenario and share manuals that allow them to respond instantly.

I also think that information should be shared so that one accident does not cause a huge loss for the entire industry.

I was most concerned that the lack of a sense of crisis on the part of the event production side in Japan, which is in a state of peace, could lead to a major accident if things continue as they are.

In order for the people who come to see the show to enjoy it with peace of mind, I think the production side needs to rethink the way it has a sense of crisis.

Of course, it goes without saying that the mindset of the people who come to see the show is also important.
