NIKKANSPORTS.COM: Former yokozuna Hakuho's haircut ceremony preceded by the Japanese and Mongolian national anthems, Kimigayo sung by GACKT solo, firm handshake.

The national anthems of Japan and Mongolia were sung prior to the haircut ceremony for former yokozuna Hakuho’s master Miyagino (37), who retired after the autumn tournament in 2021.

Kimigayo was sung by singer GACKT, who was greeted with loud cheers as he quickly appeared on the stage and sang beautifully on the ring. At the end, he shook hands with Miyagino Oyakata.

The Mongolian national anthem was then sung by national opera singer Ali Umbatar Gambatar. The Mongolian people gathered in the hall sang the national anthem together with the voice of Mr Gambatar, who is active in Europe.
