ASAHI.COM: GACKT donates 4.6 million yen to rebuild Shuri Castle

Okinawa-born musician and actor GACKT visited the prefectural government on the 25th and donated 4.6 million yen for the reconstruction of Shuri Castle, which was destroyed by fire last October. GACKT said, “(Shuri Castle) is a symbol of us to the people of Okinawa. I hope I can be of some help.”

On this day, GACKT visited the Civil Engineering Department’s director’s office at the prefectural government and handed over a donation check to Director Uehara with the words, “These are the feelings of me, and my fans who support me and love Okinawa.”

The donation is made up of the proceeds of charity goods sold during the live tour to rebuild Shuri Castle.
