The WEIBO Account Festival in Japan 2018 which recognises active influential accounts on China’s biggest social media platform Weibo, was held in Tokyo on Saturday, 22nd December where artist GACKT was presented with the Activity Artist Award.

At the awards ceremony, GACKT, who was presented with a plaque, took a commemorative photo with the female presenter. During this occasion, the presenter took her own phone out and intended to take a selfie with GACKT. Just as the presenter raised her phone and was about to take the phot, GACKT stretched out his own phone and took the photo for her. GACKT’s action drew great sighs from the women in the hall. The female MC was full of praises, saying “GACKT-san truly understands women’s feelings. Taking the photo like this, (GACKT’s arm is longer than the presenter’s, which) makes her face look smaller!”.

GACKT greeted, saying, “I hope that next year will be a great one too. Thank you”.

Apart from GACKT, the event was also attended by artists Akanishi Jin and Katayose Ryota (GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE) among others.
