Today, September 27 (Wed), a launch event was held for a new brand of party dresses that GACKT produces.

GACKT announced the new brand, 「MARGARET NOCTURNE」, in dazzy, a company dealing in ladies’ fashion, that is centered around party dresses for women in their teens and twenties. The brand’s concept combines 「MARGARET」, which refers to white flower, and 「NOCTURNE」, which refers to the black night, creating the image of an innocent young lady showing glimpses of maturity.

The dresses were also unveiled for the first time at the press conference. Dresses that look cute and simple from the front but are left wide open at the back and a few other dresses are GACKT’s designs which overflow with originality. GACKT said that he definitely wanted to incorporate two sides in a dress, and also said that he hoped that they won’t only be worn at certain parties, but also when going out for fun. He added that the dresses were based in black but this is also a motif of the white in 「MARGARET」 and black in 「NOCTURNE」.

With regards to Japanese women, GACKT said that they’re ranked highly, however, he thinks that there aren’t many areas where they dress up or express themselves. At the end, he said 「I would like all women to understand that wear a dress or getting dressed up isn’t a special thing」. Pre-orders for the 「MARGARET NOCTURNE」dresses start today on the dazzy store.
