that we successfully reached opening day,

The scene I saw yesterday

A year
can seem long, yet it truly flies by in a flash.
I was looking back at the photos I’d taken over the past year
to put together a photobook.
"Oh, I remember that happening."
"I was thinking this at the time..."
As these memories came flooding back,
I found myself completely absorbed for hours.
I don't usually
look back at photos of myself.
But
when I lay out a whole year's worth like this,
I can recall the very atmosphere
and even the temperature of the moment.
It’s a strange thing.
There are times when I look serious,
and moments where I’m caught laughing.
There are even expressions captured that I don't remember making myself—
quite a few photos surprised even me,
making me think, "Is that really what I looked like?"
For this project,
I’ve compiled a year’s worth of candid shots into a single book.
Feeling that photos alone couldn't convey everything,
I’ve also included handwritten notes
scattered throughout the pages.
Things I felt at the time.
Things I wanted to share.
I wrote them down
without any pretense.
I’m sure
you’ll enjoy the book just by looking at the photos.
But
if you have the time,
please take a moment to read the handwritten words, too.
I hope that through this book,
you’ll be able to feel the sentiments
that the photos alone couldn't quite capture.
