"My God," huh...
Kiryuin...

Shouldn't it be [MY MAD] instead of [MY GOD]?

That’s the feeling I get, anyway...

A friend told me,
"You've got to try this."

So,
I gave it a shot.

https://shindan.merise-school.co.jp

Reading the results,
well, sure,
some parts were spot on.

[Uncompromising pride]
[Strong likes and dislikes]
[Seeing things through to the end once a decision is made]

I wouldn't deny
any of that.

However,

"Terrified of change"
"Taps the stone bridge so much he never crosses it"

The moment I read that,

"Wait, who are they talking about?"

I thought.

And so,
as I read through to the end,
it struck me:

Rather than this quiz,

"My Chappy
understands me better."

Well,
that makes sense, doesn't it?

What I think about,
what I choose,
what makes me angry,
what I find amusing—

The sheer volume of information
we're exposed to is worlds apart.

Someday,

"It's faster to ask Chappy
than to take a quiz"

—we might reach an era like that.

Actually,
for me, that's already the case.

If anything,
Chappy is doing a better job of being GACKT than I am.

[Is this a typical Vietnam thing?]

In Vietnam,
there’s a ride-hailing service called Grab.
It’s basically like Uber back in Japan.

So,
I called a Grab car
to go out for a meal with some friends.

The app showed
the car was two minutes away from the hotel.

But,
no matter how long we waited, it didn't move at all.

My friend sent a message:

"What's up?
Did something happen?"

Then came the reply:

"I'm so tired..."

...Huh?

My friend said to me:

"Hey man...
Apparently, this driver
is absolutely exhausted..."

I don't care about that.

If you're tired,
you shouldn't have accepted the ride in the first place.

So,
we told him we were cancelling.

Then,
another message came in:

"Could you take a photo of yourself
and send it to me...?"

...What does that mean?

Does this mean
if I send a photo of a woman, he'll come?

Is there a system where
he decides whether to come based on the photo?

Or is he looking for something in the photo
to blow away his fatigue?

I have nothing but questions.

Is this the norm
in Vietnam?

Someone tell me.

Vietnam—
is this why they managed to beat the US? The Vietnamese people are formidable.

The USOP poker tournament is being held in Vietnam.

The results, to be honest, weren't very good.

But, as always, poker tournaments offer a lot to learn.

While the majority of players are from Asia, there are people from the Middle East, Europe, Australia, Russia, and many other countries.

When you're at the same table, you naturally talk about all sorts of things.

It's quite amazing how you make friends all over the world this way.

This time, I made quite a few new friends from Malaysia.

While it's a separate matter from the enjoyment of poker itself,

it's genuinely nice to make new friends even at this age.

And there are two things that are quite interesting about Vietnam.

The roughness of the Vietnamese players' playing style.

And the cuteness of the female dealers.

Both are at a very high level.

Even though I'm playing poker, sometimes it feels like I'm playing a completely different game.

One of my friends said to a Vietnamese player who was playing incredibly recklessly:

"Why are Vietnamese so reckless?!"

The player replied:

"Well, we Japanese are serious, and the Chinese are gamblers, so we thought it would be dangerous to play against them, but
we're way more dangerous! Ha ha ha!"

He seemed to be aware of it...

He continued:

"Well, that's probably why we won the Vietnam War! Ha ha ha!"

His dark humor didn't stop there.

He's strong.

In many ways.

By the way,
I was getting completely crushed by a Vietnamese player who looked exactly like Miyasako, who was playing next to me the whole time, and I even started to dislike Miyasako.

Actually,

There are at least three Vietnamese people in this venue who look like Miyasako.

What's going on, Vietnam? By the way, my friend who keeps losing is completely lifeless.

Even when I call out to him from the next table, he can no longer hear me; he's become like a statue, just touching his cards...

The drama "Black Trick" has successfully wrapped filming.

And the "Demon King Symphony" tour has also finished.

Then, I immediately headed to Vietnam.

The USOP organizer is a close friend of mine, and he said, "I really want you to come this time," so I rushed over.

However, perhaps because it's been a while, I haven't been able to achieve any decent results.

The only result was 5th place in the Super High Roller.

Everything else has been a spectacular failure.

It's been so long that my senses might be dulled.

However, regardless of the results, I feel I've grown a little.

Before, if I lost with a hand I didn't understand, I would normally get irritated.

"Why did I get that hand?!"

But this time, I'm strangely calm.

"Well, this is poker,"

I can think.

I can even casually say "Nice catch" to my opponent.

I don't really know where this composure comes from.

But when I see players who are always frustrated, it makes me tired too.

That means when I'm frustrated, the people around me are probably feeling just as tired.

I suddenly started thinking about work.

Maybe next time I'll be able to handle things a little more maturely.

Well, I don't know if I can, though.

It feels like poker is teaching me not only how to win, but also how to deal with frustration.

Now then.

It's about time to go and get some results.

I'm sure everyone gets frustrated often, but getting frustrated doesn't change anything in the end.

It only tires you out.
Don't you think so?
