Singer GACKT (43) on October 1, on channel 「ＦＲＥＳＨ！ｂｙ　Ａｂｅｍａ ＴＶ×ＡＪＰＣ Poker challenge」 of the free internet TV station 「Ａｂｅｍａ ＴＶ」, challenged 8 poker top players active in Japan and abroad in 'the match of the century'.

The program was broadcast live starting 6.00 pm, and before the match began GACKT talked passionately about his personal encounter with poker and its charm.

It's just that when luck is shared by all players, you can't be sure that good luck will flow for you, and it's not that just by having strong cards good luck will simply be on your side, right?. Even if you happen to have weak cards there are many cases in which, considering your opponent's positioning and mentality, all part of a strategy, you'll still win. So, it's a matter of HOW you seize that luck, right?" said GACKT in his passionate conversation about poker.

And continued "You can also become good friend with fellow players. I often go abroad by myself so, if there's a poker game in that country, I'll surely know someone new and get along with him through poker, I go out with them for meals, or I'm able to make really good frinds. It's really interesting. Even while we are opponents, when we sit at the same table playing a game, I came to think that it is really a special sport able to create a particular feeling (among players .ndt). There are also people that only think about placing a gamble but, as I do not deny the gambling part of the game, I can't deny the fact that is a real mind sport too. Anyway you think about it, for me poker is very useful for life, and I think it's an extraordinary comunication tool." he said, meaning that playing poker allowed him to increase the number of friends throughout the world.

Regarding the game tonight "Now, I'm a bit out of practice. But it's an honor for me to be able to compete with strong opponents, and if I can receive a good stimulus from this, that's good" said, adding that he will be competing with the top players aiming to his personal growth.

Il cantante GACKT (43) il 1° Ottobre, sul canale 「ＦＲＥＳＨ！di　Ａｂｅｍａ ＴＶ×ＡＪＰＣ Poker challenge」sulla internet TV libera「Ａｂｅｍａ ＴＶ」, ha sfidato 8 grandi giocatori attivi in Giappone e all'estero nel 'match del secolo'.

Il programma è andato in onda a partire dalle 6.00 pm, e prima che cominciasse il match GACKT ha parlato appassionatamente del suo personale incontro con il poker e del suo fascino.

Approssimativamente 9 anni fa, mentre era in Barcellona, Spagna, per lavoro, ha provato il poker per la prima volta. "Conoscevo già Bakara, Black Jack ed altri giochi di carte ma, è stato a Barcellona che per la prima volta ho conosciuto le regole del poker e ho cominciato a giocarlo. Avevo sempre pensato che il poker fosse uno come tutti gli altri giochi d'azzardo, ma quando l'ho provato l'ho sentito completamente differente. Dopo ho cominciato a studiare il poker. E sono arrivato ad abbandonare gli altri giochi. Giocandolo ho in effetti capito che il poker è uno sport mentale. La fortuna è essenziale quanto la strategia ma, se parliamo di fortuna, questa si estende in modo equo tra tutti i giocatori. E' solo quando la fortuna è condivisa tra tutti i giocatori, non puoi essere sicura che la fortuna sia dalla parte tua, è non è solo avendo delle carte forti che la fortuna sia dalla tua parte, giusto? Anche se tu hai carte deboli ci sono alcuni casi in cui, considerando la mentalità e la posizione del tuo sfidante, tutto parte di una strategia, tu puoi ancora vincere. Quindi, è un fatto di COME afferri quella fortuna, giusto?" ha detto GACKT nella sua appassionata conversazione sul poker.

E ha continuato "Tu puoi anche diventare buon amico di alcuni giocatori. Io spesso vado all'estero da solo quindi, se si gioca a poker in quel paese, io sicuramente conoscerò qualcuno e rimarrò in contatto con lui grazie al poker, vado fuori a cena, o sono davvero in grado di fare delle buone amicizie. E' davvero interessante. Anche mentre noi siamo sfidanti, quando ci sediamo al tavolo da gioco, i arrivo a pensare che sia davvero uno sport capace di creare dei buoni feelings (tra giocatori .ndt). Ci sono anche persone che vogliono solamente piazzare un azzardo ma, siccome io non nego la parte di azzardo del gioco, non posso negare il fatto che sia un gioco mentale. Tuttavia tu pensi a questo, per me il poker è molto utile per la vita, e penso che sia uno straordinario mezzo di comunicazione anche." ha detto, intendendo che giocare a poker ha aumentato il numero dei suoi amici in tutto il mondo.

Riguardo il gioco di stasera "Ora, sono un po' fuori allenamento. Ma è un onore per me giocare contro forti avversari, e se io posso ricevere un buono stimolo da questo, è un bene" ha detto, aggiungendo che sfiderà grandi giocatori mirando alla sua crescita personale.

E ha concluso dicendo "Da tutti i miei viaggi intorno al mondo ho realizzato che molti dei più grandi managers giocano a poker. Ricorda un po' il lavoro manageriale, e penso che il modo di pensare del poker si possa applicare alle strategie manageriali in vari modi. Non c'è nessun pericolo nel farlo. Io penso che più che una crescita personale, le strategie del poker siano essenziali nella vita normale. Uomini e donne di tutte le età possono giocare a poker, e giocandolo, tu puoi osservare le altre persone, leggere il flusso (della fortuna o del gioco .ndt), e pensare su cosa dovresti fare in quel momento, p semplicemente farlo diventare un momento di studio.  Io potrei esagerare le cose ma, riguardo l'abilità di costruire un business, penso che tu possa imparare tanto dal poker. Per me, il poker è la cosa in cui voglio migliorare di più nella mia vita." dando un'ulteriore spiegazione sull'importanza di questo gioco.
