GACKT appears for NesCafe Event「I think it would be wonderful if my girlfriend could do art on my coffee」

On 29 October, the launch event for『NesCafe Flavour Roast Shun Meguri Cafe』was held, and artiste GACKT made a guest appearance.

It was the same event that was held at NesCafe Shinjuku. GACKT, with an orange handkerchief peeking out from his chest pocket, commented「Today, I came in a coordination that gives the image of an autumn twilight.」. －－Please share with us your thoughts about today's event.
GACKT： I think that it's really wonderful to have a calm space within business. As I currently live overseas, I can feel the seasons when I come back to Japan. If I ever wanted to feel the seasons, I think I'd want to take some time to come.

－－Again, how was the taste of this time's「Flavour Roast Kiwami」?
GACKT： There are a few that I like the tastes of but, what I felt this time was the high level of quality in it. When I heard that they were starting a project based on the seasons, I thought that it was daring of them to challenge something like that because worldwide it's only normal to supply things in big amounts (which won't happen in this case).

－－About the mindset of「Flavour Roast」which is「Following the season, changing even the harvesting grounds」, do you empathise with it as an artiste?

GACKT： I think that food is also part of being an artiste. Because if I weren't an artiste, such a level of things would not have been done. I think the point about continuously challenging the limits is one that is shared between food and music.

－－What kind of cup do you normally use when drinking coffee?
GACKT： As I have a hobby of collecting glassware and coffee cups, I'm become somewhat of a collector. Since my cupboard has nothing but glassware and cups, I pick based on my mood at the moment. When I drink with close friends, I decide based on the image of drinking with others.

－－Normally, how do you drink your coffee?
GACKT： There are a few styles of drinking. In the past when I was in France, I saw people drinking espresso and thought it looked cool so I learnt how to drink it. So actually, I finally could drink it about 5 years ago. Recently I'm into latte art, I also started drawing on it. I think it would be wonderful if my girlfriend could do art on my coffee. But girls who can do latte art are somewhat few.（laughs）

－－In the entertainment industry, it's become a topic that there is a "season" of wedding rush. GACKT-san's plans are?
GACKT：I have no plans at all. If I can find a wonderful woman, I think that's fine on its own. I think it's good as long as you can be together with the person you like without being bound together in the form of marriage.

－－ Your appearance in a nurse costume at another event a few days ago has become a hot topic, will your girlfriend feel intimidated if you're that beautiful?
GACKT： Personally, I think somehow my two arms look too fat.（laughs）As I'm also already ageing, I feel like I should continue doing cross-dressing for as long as I can.

GACKT, con un fazzolettino arancio che usciva dal taschino della sua giacca, ha commentato「Oggi, sono arrivato vestito coordinato con i colori autunnali.」. Guardando le decorazioni dell'arredamento del「Shun Meguri Cafe」che ha usato un 4KVIEWING（R）ad alta definizione per riflettere un vivido display con lo scenario autunnale, ed un giardino roccioso con un reale fogliame autunnale, ha espresso la sua ammirazione, dicendo「E' davvero un luogo tranquillo nel tempo. Come qualcosa di unicamente Giapponese, è davvero lussuoso passare il tempo guardando questo spettacolare e bellissimo scenario.」.

Per la talk session, ha bevuto un sorso del「NesCafe Flavour Roast Kiwami」e ha commentato「Francamente, è delizioso. Penso che sia molto più delizioso di quanto ognuno possa aspettarsi. GACKT： Penso che sia davvero meraviglioso avere uno spazio tranquillo con il lavoro. Siccome io spesso vivo all'estero, posso sentire le stagioni quando torno in Giappone. Se io volessi sentire le stagioni, penso che vorrei prendermi del tempo per venire qui.

－－Ancora, com'era il gusto del「Flavour Roast Kiwami」di stavolta?
GACKT： Ce n'erano alcuni di cui apprezzavo il sapore ma, quello che ho sentito questa volta aveva un'alta qualità in esso. Quando ho sentito che stava per partire un progetto basato sulle stagioni, ho pensato che fosse coraggioso da parte loro sfidare una cosa del genere, perchè nel mondo è normale giocare sulle grandi qualità (che non accadrà in questo caso).

－－Sul pensiero del「Flavour Roast」che è「Seguire la stagione, cambiando il terreno su cui raccogliere」, ti senti empatico con questa cosa come artista?

GACKT： Penso che il cibo sia qualcosa riguardante un artista.Perchè se io non fossi un artista, non si sarebbero raggiunte tali risultati. Io penso che il punto di continuare a sfidare continuamente i limiti sia qualcosa condiviso sia dal cibo che dalla musica.

－－Che tipo di tazza usi normalmente per bere il caffè?
GACKT： Siccome ho l'hobby di collezionare bicchieri e tazze, sono diventato qualcosa tipo un collezionista. Dal momento che la mia credenza non ha altro che bicchieri e coppe, scelgo basandomi sul mio umore del momento. Quando bevo con amici stretti, decido basandomi sull'immagine di bere con gli altri.

－－Normalmente, quando bevi il caffè?
GACKT： Ci sono vari stili di berlo. In passato quando ero in Francia, vedevo persone bere l'espresso e ho pensato che fossero così cool così io ho imparato a bere. Quindi in realtà, io finalmente sono stato in gradi di berlo 5 anni fa. Recentemente mi piace molto l'arte del latte, ho cominciato a disegnarci dentro. Penso che sarebbe magnifico se la mia fidanzata potesse fare dell'arte sul mio caffè. Ma le ragazze che sanno fare l'arte del latte sono in qualche modo poche. (ride)

－－Nell'industria dell'intrattenimento, è diventato un topic il fatto che questa sia la "stagione" della corsa al matrimonio. I piani di GACKT-san sono?
GACKT：Non ho nessun piano. Se trovassi una bellissima donna, penso che potrebbe essere bello stare con la persona che ti piace senza essere legati dalla forma del matrimonio.

－－ La tua apparizione in un costume da infermiera in un altro evento qualche giorno fa è diventato un hot topic, potrebbe la tua ragazza sentirti intimidita se sei così bello?
GACKT： Personalmente, penso che in qualche modo le mie braccia sembrassero troppo grasse.（ride）Siccome io sto anche invecchiando, mi sento come se dovessi continuare a travestirmi più che posso.
