This year too, August 23rd 2014 (Sat), and 24th (Sun), for two days it will take place the「89th Uesugi Kenshin memorial 」, the wonderful general that showed his honor during the war of the fighting states.
The show on the 24th dedicated to the Kawanakajima battle, will find GACKT in the first raw as the general! The audience, starting with the ones coming from the close Joetsu area, till the ones arriving nationwide, went crazy to see his magnificent performance.

The Audience, all grouped on the side of the road, raised in a roaring applause at the sight of the white horse rode by Kenshin (played by GACKT) and his army. Just like last year Kenshin finishes his pass wearing the traditional outfit “Suikan”. On the side of the road it’s possible to hear the many voices scream : 「Welcome Back heroes！」
At the end of the parade, Kenshin (GACKT) gives the order to his troupes, the audience at the side of the road raise in a cry of victory, taking the atmosphere to it’s maximum level.

【KAWANAKAJIMA BATTLE】
The sun is completely set, the light turn on and to break the twilight darkness here appears Keshin (GACKT).
The battle with his enemy Takeda Shingen and the breathtaking duel with katanas have recreated the battle perfectly, almost making it seem as if Uesugi Kenshin, God of war, descended among us.

GACKT’s message on the Uesugi Kenshin rappresentation
To me, the Joetsu area it’s very important, so that I can call it a “second home”. I was surprisingly happy when they asked me to play the part of Keshin during the battle to protect Joetsu area.
So, not to waste this occasion, I decided to answer to this invitation showing you one of the most amazing performance of all time, and in spite of an accident during the preparations I still was able to do it.
In spite of this handicap I decided to participate anyway to this event to commemorate Kenshin.
Naturally, to do this event, it would have been ideal to have a perfect physical condition, but, since adversities are more commont to us I had to endure till the end and complete it.
These situations seems adverse for us and we must be able anyway to raise our moods and believe in ourselves. So, every time that a difficulty presents in front of you if we are able to endure we can do big things and be really proud of us.
「I’d love if you could take your feet in the wonderful and amazing place that’s Joetsy, and make you feel all the beauty and the history. Furthermore, I have a more important thing to tell you, I will keep protecting the spirit of Japanese people always」, after thinking about this, I’d want to tell you that in spite of how many people will participate in this event, I would be happy anyway if this thought could be delivered to the majority of you. I hope with all my heard that after this event, just like me, you’ll make everyone know the beauty of this place.

Anche quest'anno, il 23 Agosto 2014(Sabato),24(Domenica),per due giorni, sarà magnificamente rappresentato l' 「89o memoriale di Uesugi Kenshin 」, ovvero il favoloso generale che si è fatto onore nella guerra degli stati combattenti.
La rappresentazione del giorno 24,della battaglia di Kawanakajima, ritroverà GACKT nelle prime file nei panni del generale！Gli spettatori, inizialmente proventienti dalla vicina area Joetsu, per poi arrivare da tutta la nazione,sono impazziti nel vedere questa magnifica performance.

Gli spettatori, raggruppati ai lati della strada, fanno partire un applauso molto forte alla vista di un cavallo bianco con su in groppa il generale Kenshin (interprertato da GACKT) e il suo ingente esercito. Come l'anno scorso Kenshin compie la sua rraversata indossando l'abito tradizionale ''Suikan''. Dai lati della strada è possibile sentire molte voci urlare : 「Bentornati eroi！」
Arrivato al punto finale della sfilata、Kenshin (GACKT) da l'ordine alle sue truppe, il pubblico dai lati della strada alza un grido di vittoria, portando l'atmosfera ai livelli massimi.

【RICHIAMO ALLA BATTAGLIA DI KAWANAKAJIMA】
Il sole è sparito completamente, si accendono dei falò e a spezzare l'oscurità del crepuscolo appare il generale Kenshin (GACKT).
La battaglia con il suo nemico Takeda Shingen e il duello mozzafiato a colpi di spada hanno ricreato perfettamente la battaglia, facendo quasi sembrare a una discesa del dio della guerra Uesugi Kenshin.

Per me, l'aera di Joetsu è davvero importantissima, tanto da poterla chiamare ''una seconda casa''.Sono stato sorprendente felice quando mi hanno chiesto di interpretare il generale Kenshin nella battaglia per proteggere l'importante area di Joetsu.
Quindi,per non far sprecare quest'occasione, ho deciso di rispondere a questo invito mostrandovi una delle performance più grandiose di sempre, e nonostante un incidente nelle fasi di preparazione ne sono stato comunque in grado.
Nonostante questo handicap ho deciso comunque di partecipare a quest'evento per ricordare il generale Kenshin.
Naturalmente, per poter fare questa manifestazione sarebbe stato ideale avere una condizione fisica perfetta,ma,dal momento che sono più comuni le situazioni a noi sfavorevoli ho dovuto tener duro fino alla fine e completarla.
Questo le situazioni sembrano a noi sfavorevoli dobbiamo essere comunque in grado di far alzare il nostro morale e credere in noi stessi. Perciò, ogni volta che si presenta una difficoltà se riusciamo a tener duro possiamo fare grandi cose ed essere veramente fieri di noi.
「Mi farebbe molto piacere che voi portereste i vostri piedi nella bellissima e piacevole terra di Joetsu , e farvi sentire tutta la bellezza della sua storia.Inoltre,avrei una cosa più importante da dirvi, continuerò a proteggere lo spirito del popolo giapponese per sempre」, dopo essermi venuto in mente questo pensiero, vorrei dirvi che nonostante il numero dei partecipanti all'evento sia stato esiguo, sarei comunque felice se questo pensiero potesse arrivare alla maggior parte di voi. Spero con tutto il mio cuore che dopo quest'evento, proprio come me, facciate conoscere e amare al resto della gente la bellezza di questo posto.
Io, GACKT, dal profondo del mio cuore vi chiedo di far conoscere anche alle generazioni successive 「la bellezza del Giappone antico」.
