This song is already on air as the ending theme song for the anime 『TRICKSTER -Edogawa Ranpo 「Shonen Tanteidan」 Yori-』, in which he is also involved in as a voice actor. In this song, he, who powerfully forges ahead with his own path, sends a passionate message to listeners, about humans face the sins they carry with them and move forward despite their sorrows. GACKT: What do you think “elegance” means?

――Elegance…… To be both materially and mentally blessed, it has the image of being in a state where there is no inconvenience, I really long for it.

GACKT: So… you long for elegance. An elegant lifestyle, an elegant way of spending time, to have an elegant heart…… Elegance as a word is profound. When I started living overseas, and decided to live an elegant life, I bumped up against the word “elegance”. Everyone thinks that elegance is to have a lot of things and to be in a state of comfort but that’s actually not the case. ――What do you mean by training to become elegant?

GACKT: Avoid modern things, starting with your phone, and try to spend a couple of hours just looking at the scenery. But I can’t really do it. This is a sickness of the modern man. In the past I’d go to the temple and sit in Zen meditation, and simply become free. Then, until I become free and my heart becomes empty, I’ll be thinking of a lot of things in my head. After thinking, and thinking, and thinking, it’ll suddenly go blank but that’s probably my heart getting reset. People need to have balance in their life. GACKT: The phrase 「Inheritance of sin (tsumi no keisho) 」 is not about something as specific as that. For me, I think that humans are already living with sin the moment they are born. For example, humans are the only creatures on this earth that destroys the balance and such. If the earth is being considered like a living organism, beings that are being born with sin, in other words, humans, are like the “cancer” in it. We destroy a lot of things, cause a lot of things…… But if you were to say that it would be better if humans didn’t exist, you won’t be allowed to. That’s why, when we’re being born into this world when our own sins, I think that we have to face those sins, accept them and go on living. In the first place, people have the ability to think, an ability that no other animal has, yet don’t you notice that most people don’t think? Da qual momento, ho realizzato che l'eleganza non si riferisce ad avere abbondanza di cose, ma invece è una parola che si riferisce al cuore. Per diventare veramente elegante, suppongo che le persone che sono state inflitte da questa malattia moderna debbano allenarsi.

――che cosa intendi allenarsi per diventare eleganti?

GACKT: Evitare le cose moderne, iniziando dal proprio telefono, e provare a passare un paio di ore guardando solamente il paesaggio. Ma non riesco a farlo. Questa è la malattia dell'uomo moderno. Andrei al tempio e mi siderei in medizione Zen, e semplicemente liberarmi. Poi nel momento in cui mi sono liberato ed il mio cuore svuotato, mi troverò a pensare ad un sacco di cose nella mia testa. Dopo aver pensato, pensato e pensato, diventerebbe improvvisamente vuota tanto che il mio cuore sarebbe resettato.La gente ha bisogno di bilanciare la propria vita. Comunque, attualmente, tutti vanno avanti a vivere senza resecare i propri cuori, e anche se si pensa 「Ah, questo è bellissimo」solo per un momento, non è collegato al reset del proprio cuore. Per esempio, gli umani sono le sole creature sulla terra che distruggono il bilanciamento naturale. Se la terra fosse considerata come un organismo vivente, esseri che sono nati con il peccato, in altre parole, umani, sono come il “cancro” in essa. Noi distruggiamo molte cose, causiamo molte cose…… Ma se si dovesse dire che sarebbe stato meglio se non esistessero gli esseri umani, non saremo autorizzati. Ecco perchè, quando siamo nati su questo mondo con I nostri propri peccati, credo dobbiamo affrontare i nostri peccati, accettarli e andare a avanti a vivere. In primo luogo, la gente ha l'abilità di pensare, un'abilità che nessun altro animale ha, non noti già che la maggior parte delle persone non pensa? Si svegliano quando suona la sveglia la mattina, fanno colazione perchè devono mangiare, poi quando è ora, vanno in ufficio, tornano a casa. Ognuno dei loro movimenti è dettato dal non pensiero, semplicemente agiscono. Credo che questo sia estremamente pericoloso

――Come effetti avversi che si verificano quando non si pensa

GACKT: La gente che normalmente non pensa non può nemmeno pensare quando improvvisamente gli si dice di pensare. . GACKT: Credo che il video simboleggi anche la nostra società attuale. Esso è collegato anche con 「Pensaci」 però, proprio ora, la maggior parte delle persone nel mondo vive giudicando giusto o sbagliato per conto di altri. come se la maggioranza dice ciò che è corretto e poi diranno che non lo è, non è qualcosa che hanno deciso da se stessi pensando.
