[The God Rod Exists]

This is a must-read for anyone who loves fishing.

You'll surely understand.

I've tried countless casting rods.

I've been searching for the perfect rod,

but I haven't been able to find one that makes me think, "This is it!!"

I've even made my own prototypes.

It casts far, but it's difficult to handle.

It's strong, but heavy.

It's light, but it doesn't cast far.

If only it could cast 5 meters further...

I kept repeating this cycle.

Yesterday, I was swinging my own prototype rod with these thoughts in mind, but I wasn't satisfied...

Then, I got advice from a bass pro who knows a lot about rod builders,
and acquired these two rods.

The night before, my first impression when I touched them was:

"The butt is thick, it looks difficult to handle..."

But the moment I made my first cast in the field,

"What is this rod...!?"

I couldn't help but exclaim.

An incredible flexibility that you wouldn't expect from its appearance.

No lag even with high-speed casts.

It handles everything from 12g to 35g flawlessly.

Long casts are a given, but
long-distance, low-trajectory casts are exceptionally easy.

The PE #3 line I cast was
all gone in 75m.

Yesterday, I used two rods interchangeably, getting 9 bites and 4 fish.

And my guide, who is unusually picky about tackle,

muttered, "This is amazing..."

Honestly,
it might be too much for someone without much arm strength.

But if you're someone who feels dissatisfied with the rebound and responsiveness of your current rods,
you'll understand once you try it.

For the first time in a long time,
"A divine rod really does exist..."

I'd like to have a meal with the rod builder and talk to him sometime.

How do you make a rod like this?

I think I'll stop making my own rods for the time being.

At least for now, I don't feel like I can make anything better than this rod.

By the way, the rods I used yesterday were:

[DESIGNO HANG OUT 74MH]

[DESIGNO i’M SWAG 74MH]

Well, it's because you sometimes come across a rod like this that fishing is so interesting.

[People seem to worry about others, but they're actually projecting their own values.]

I received a message from an acquaintance I hadn't heard from in a long time.

But then I heard:
"I heard GACKT has gained weight.
Are you okay? You should lose weight! Lol"

I had no idea what he was talking about, so I asked,
"What's up all of a sudden?
Did something bad happen?
Is work still not going well?"

He replied,
"No, I saw it on the news, so I thought I'd contact you!"

I looked it up, and there was an article about me that was completely irrelevant.

So that's what he wanted to hear from me after so long...
I replied to him:

"I've never been fat in my life.
In fact, since I only eat one meal a day, I spend more time thinking about how to avoid losing weight.
Thanks for worrying about me.
You should take care of your health too."

Of course, I'm sure he wasn't worried, but just teasing. Humans are fascinating creatures.

We think we're looking at others,
but in reality, we're looking at ourselves.

By the way,
I don't particularly want to become muscular.

I'm just keeping my body in shape every day so that I can do what I want to do until I die.

Training isn't anything special either.

It's like brushing your teeth.

That's the feeling.

GACKT, 53 years old.

Well, that's about it.

I bought my first Pokémon card.

On the birthday of Yohei Kitazato, the representative of the publishing company that publishes books such as "[GACKT's Winning Strategy]" and "[GACKT's Super Thinking Techniques],"
I asked him, "Is there anything you want?"

He replied, "I want a PSA10 Pokémon card!"

I looked up what PSA10 was, and it seems to be a Pokémon card that has been submitted to a grading company called PSA and received the highest rating.

I asked a staff member in Japan to "buy one for Yohei as a birthday present,"

and they said, "If he's getting a PSA10 from his brother, he's totally planning to resell it."

I see.

That makes sense.

So,
"Find a PSA10 that he wouldn't want to sell," I asked.

And this is the card they found.

The staff member initially told me it was 80 yen.

But when I opened the box, it was 800,000 yen.

Well, the price is one thing.

As promised, it's a PSA 10.
But—
the card inside is tattered.
That's impossible under normal circumstances.

Why does this exist as a PSA 10?

Its existence is like a ghost.
I no longer know if this price is high or low.

And what's more,
even the card's name is "Ghost."

At this point, I feel like it's fate.

If I tried to sell this card, it might be too complicated to explain, so I might not be able to sell it.

Anyway,
Yohei.

Happy Birthday.

Starting in Japan,
South America,

In each country,

Thank you so much to everyone who came to the venues, and to everyone who supported us from afar.

Every country has its own unique energy.

Cultures, languages, and values are all different.

Yet, the moment the music starts, we all become one.

No matter how many times I experience it, I find it不思議 (mysterious) and wonderful.

The 2026 tour ends here.

But the end is the beginning of something new.

We've already started preparing for next year's world tour.

Where will we go next?

What kind of scenery awaits us?

I can't say much yet, but
a new journey is about to begin.

No matter where you are in the world,
we are connected.
No matter where you are,
No matter what happens,
You are not alone.
I’m always with you.

GACKT Official X Update. Translation below

Regarding the recent case involving Nagabuchi and the Diamond Group:

Actually, even before this news broke,
I had heard about this company.

The entertainment industry is smaller than you might think.

Information spreads quickly, for better or for worse.

Therefore, I wasn't surprised by this incident.

In fact, my first thought was,
"Even Nagabuchi-san drew the short straw?"

Of course, we should wait for the judicial decision regarding the details of this case and who is responsible.

But that's not what I was concerned about.

There are countless companies in this industry that survive solely on the prestige of being in the entertainment industry.

However, their operational capabilities and financial management are far from adequate.

Even agencies whose names everyone knows often have surprisingly sloppy management.

That's why the recent exodus of talents, actors, and artists from agencies is inevitable.

Being a large company and having value are two different things. I've drawn the short straw several times in the past.

Hundreds of millions of yen in unpaid wages.

There were many other egregious acts as well.
The month after I terminated my contract with that firm,
I became entangled in the firm's tax evasion scandal.

I should have severed ties much sooner.

But many people in the industry at the time kept nagging me,
"You shouldn't leave your current firm."

Looking back now,
those words also clouded my judgment and delayed my decision.

No, that's not right.

Ultimately, it was my own lack of knowledge that caused the problem.

It wasn't anyone else's fault.

Not seeing through it, and delaying my decision,
it was all my responsibility.

That's why
I still haven't forgotten what happened back then.

As a major lesson.

I've always wondered:
They have dozens of employees.

But once a project starts, it's all outsourced. If that's the case, I want to ask:
"What is the purpose of that employee?"
I still often think that.

It used to work that way.
Television was overwhelmingly dominant.
Sponsors provided funding.
Agencies had strong power.
There was certainly a time when simply belonging to an agency had value.

But it's different now.

Advertising money has shifted to the internet,
and information can be disseminated by individuals.
Direct contact with fans is also possible.

Despite this,
much of the industry remains stuck in its old structure.

I had this conversation many times with senior figures in the industry.

At that time,
they all said the same thing:

"But still, Japan is all about television."

But now,
those same people are saying,
"We've been eaten alive by the internet."

The times haven't changed.
They simply refused to see the changes of the times.

Entertainment agencies, artists, and talents all need to learn more about business management.

Connections alone won't guarantee survival.

Titles alone don't create value.

Organizations that can't create value as a company will be ruthlessly weeded out.

And this isn't someone else's problem.

This applies to our agents as well.

And it applies to myself too.

The times have long since changed.

The only ones who haven't changed are us.
