GACKT Official X update. Translation below
A bear in a junior high school.
It’s no laughing matter.
I have nothing but respect for the vice principal who stood up for his students.
It’s just a cub, so it’s okay?
There’s no such convenient explanation.
If its parents were nearby, it would be hellish.
But at the same time, I think…
We’ve cut down forests, thinned out mountains,
and dammed rivers.
It’s not just animals that are paying the price. Humans are paying the price, too.
Around the world,
there’s a growing movement to tear down dams and restore ecosystems.
We’re trying to free rivers and revive forests.
And yet, this country continues
to destroy mountains, destroy forests,
and put up solar panels and call it “eco.”
All of these factors are intertwined,
and the bear has crossed our borders.
Of course, climate change is a factor.
But that’s not the only problem.
The enemy we should be facing isn’t the bears,
but the reality that we are continuing to destroy our future.
What do you think?
