GACKT Official X update. Translation below
It’s true that the way I put it is too extreme and may be misleading…
I hope that it will encourage you to search for the true essence behind why I am making these statements.
I’ll explain a little.
Whether what I say from here on is a lie or not is up to everyone who reads this to interpret and judge.
While cancers are said to be decreasing in many countries,
some types of cancer have been on the rise in Japan over the past 20 years.
Numbers are highly persuasive above all else.
However, the way they are presented can give the exact opposite impression.
The reality is that even when mortality rates are falling, the number of cases is increasing.
Age-adjusted mortality rates are calculated not based on actual population structure, but on a hypothetical population based on the population structure of a certain year.
This method obscures actual increases.
So simply saying “mortality rates are falling” does not tell the whole story.
And,
[Aging is not the only reason]
[Increases and decreases in incidence rates depend on your perspective]
[Changes by body part and generation are overshadowed by the overall picture]
Is there really anyone who can completely deny these things?
We often hear that the increase in cancer deaths is [due to aging],
but the impression of incidence rates also changes depending on how they are calculated and the time period.
Even with advances in medical care,
the number of new cancer patients continues to rise in many countries around the world.
How you interpret the numbers is of course important,
but what’s more important is deciphering the true meaning behind them and
how you shape your own future.
Many of the answers lie in your daily lifestyle habits and the food you eat.
Japanese people are weak to the title of “teacher.”
Before blindly accepting something, research, learn, and think for yourself.
It’s important to have faith, but the ability to derive your own answers is even more important.
What I want to say
has always been, and will always be.
“You are what you eat.”
And your life is yours.
Don’t just take my word for it or anyone else’s.
Live with the answers you’ve derived for yourself.
I’m not completely against medication.
But I don’t choose a lifestyle dependent on it.
Ultimately, your body is made up of what you put in your mouth.
Choose what you eat.
If you want to stay healthy and live to the end.
