GACKT Official X update. Translation below

Today I’d like to write about my favorite words, “Know, Perceive, Act, and Think.”

These are words that have been important to me since I was young, and they are the words that helped me change.

A long time ago, my mentor wrote these words, “Know, Perceive, Act, and Think,” on a piece of paper in front of me and asked me, “What do you think is the most important basic human behavior?”

At the time, I thought that “thinking” was the most important thing.
Pointing at each word on the paper, he said,
“The answer is written right in front of you. It’s “Anyway, Whatever, Let’s Move.”

There are few people who can actually put their thoughts into action right away.

That was the case with me back then too. I was always making excuses somewhere for not taking action.

When starting something, the more difficult it is, the more you think, worry, and hesitate.
The smarter you are, the more you twist and turn the risks, benefits, and disadvantages, and the more you are content with maintaining the status quo.

As you repeat the pattern of knowing, remembering, thinking… over and over again, your movements become slower and slower, and you become reluctant.

The image of a negative outcome grows larger.

You start thinking, “Maybe it’s better not to do anything,” or “Is it useless to move?”, and you become unable to take action.

Of course, if you don’t move, you can’t get results.

When you see other people fail, you might think, “Oh, I’m glad I didn’t move,” and feel like you got it right.

But people who can actually get results are always thinking while moving.

Change can only be achieved by moving. When you get a good response, or when you feel like you’re going in a bad direction, always think while moving. Find what needs to be corrected and try again.

The time to think deeply is at the end of the day. In other words, before going to bed.

Until then, don’t stop moving, and keep your mind working at full speed while you’re moving. Never stop thinking about how to get even the slightest bit of good results.

It seems simple, but in reality, your motivation to take action will decrease unless you make it a habit to take action. I believe that above all else, it’s important to always be aware of taking action and to have a challenge-first mindset.

Of course, acting alone isn’t enough.

When things don’t go well, you have to think deeply and analyze while you’re moving.

However, before that, most people just think and stop moving.

If you gain the power to take action, your life will definitely change. If you take action, many allies will appear.

Know, perceive, act, think.
You can only expect results after that.
