A special broadcast of “Produced by GACKT! POKER×POKER ~Industry One-on-One Tournament” (AbemaSPECIAL), which airs every Friday at midnight, will crown the program’s very first grand champion with a maximum prize money of 1 million yen, and will air on 7th December (Fri).

This program is a poker program that is produced by GACKT, who possess the ability to compete in international poker tournaments, and crowns a champion each month.

The November tournament, which is now being aired, has Kameda Koki taking part to avenge his younger brother, Kameda Kaiki, who took part in June’s tournament but was defeated by Asuka Kirara from the sexy actresses world in the first match. Other participants in this month’s tournament include New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Makabe Togi, a.k.a. “Runaway King Kong”.

Two beautiful women, model Hisamatsu Ikumi and the female professional Mahjong player Tomi, are competing as well, bringing much excitement to the table. 9th November’s broadcast will feature Makabe and Tomi in this month’s second match-up.

This time’s grand champion tournament will feature the winners from the monthly tournaments that were held between May to August. The first champion of this program crowned in May was ex-Morning Musume, Yaguchi Mari.

And the person who will be going up against Yaguchi will be August’s champion, ex-℃-ute, Okai Chisato. This was decided by a random draw.

Yaguchi was excited for this time’s tournament, saying “I honestly feel very confident about this. I didn’t feel like I would lose during May’s tournament”. Furthermore, her confidence showed through as she added “Isn’t the prize money of 1 million yen amazing? I think it creates a whole lot more tension though. I thought that more people would be taking part, so I think I can do this! I think I’ve got leeway. But you see, I beat a pro. I’ll definitely win! I don’t think I’ll lose”.

On the other hand, Okai gave a slightly more muted comment, saying, “I don’t like losing, so I want to win, but when I really start to have problems understanding the rules, I start to panic a little, so I think that it’d be good if I could explore a bit and get through without angering GACKT-san”.

Following that, she said “Whoa, I don’t think there’s any way I can win, is there! In anything and everything! That’s what I thought” in regards to her opponent, but sounded enthusiastic despite being frightened (?) as she added “Since it’s a game, I’d want to win if I can. I’ll go into the tournament with my own pace, and I want to simply enjoy myself without getting frightened by adults. The pressure seems scary”.

And the matchup between risk-takers will be between July’s champion, Ooi Takaharu who achieved the #1 ranking in Mahjong Professional League “M League”, and June’s champion, racer Kobayashi Kamui, who has ever stood on an F1 podium.

Ooi commented with “I’ve had quite a few simulation practices, and I did my homework, researching on what areas I can pressure these three other contestants on. I have the image that Kobayashi-san attacks with mid-range cards, so I assume that I can take him on against that if I have high cards in my hand”.

With regards to his opponent being the Mahjong pro Ooi, Kobayashi said, “On the contrary, I feel relieved. Because I think that he’d come at me properly. People who don’t know anything are the scariest”, and added “Getting here, I have won comfortably, so I’d like to bring this flow to the races in my actual occupation as well”.

Once one of them have risen to become the grand champion, the winner will then take on the professional poker players, and if he or she wins, they will be able to bag the largest prize of 1 million yen.

So who will earn the glory of becoming the program’s first grand champion and take go up against the professional players for the 1 million yen grand prize?
