Movie「Karanukan」 Director’s Diary

As we near the release, I’ll reveal some of the movie’s sights, performers, power spots, and such.
The name of the inn where GACKT’s Ooyama Hikaru stays while in Okinawa is nicknamed as 「有無居 (Umui)」 by me, it’s a word I like from the Okinawan dialect, Umui, I put my feelings to words and named it. It is aimed at the type of place or people who feel that they themselves 「appear to be here but aren’t, and appear to be not there」.
The famous folk song singer, Ganeko Yoriko, plays the role of the landlady, while I too has a short appearance as a fisherman who is a drifter who also lives in this inn but ended up moving in.
Ganeko-san’s song is a masterpiece in the event scenes.
