The album “GACKT PHILHARMONIC 2025 – Demon King Symphony” was released on his birthday, July 4th, and was recorded live at “GACKT PHILHARMONIC 2025” held at Sumida Triphony Hall on April 13th!
This is GACKT’s first release in eight years under his name, and was recorded at the live concert “GACKT PHILHARMONIC 2025” held at Sumida Triphony Hall on April 13th, where he performed with an orchestra. The album contains a total of 13 songs, including medleys, according to the set list from the live concert.
In December 2013, GACKT held “GACKT x Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra A Magnificent Classical Evening” at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall. After this concert, GACKT’s songs demonstrated the good compatibility with classical music, as well as with orchestras. About 10 years later, GACKT once again took part in an orchestra concert. Together with the band members of YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz, which he leads, he broke new ground by developing band sounds and orchestras on the same world line. This time, GACKT teamed up with the Grand Philharmonic Tokyo. The group is made up of top-level performers active both in Japan and abroad, as well as up-and-coming young performers.
