Nope,
I came back to Japan for a few days
for the filming of a CM and
other different shoots.
When I got back a few days ago, I went straight into filming.
I was quite tired but,
it was great that we managed to film a good one.
And also because it ended earlier than expected.
Eh?
“Did you start filming from morning as well this time?”
… you ask…
Nope,
this time it started in the afternoon.
In the morning I had another meeting,
so after that ended,
I headed to the filming studio.
When I entered the shooting location
they’ve already prepared to be ready to shoot at short notice.
The setup for the scenes here
were really fast.
And, right after I sat down the camera test started.
Then, when it started
the program list was a little late though.
In the blink of an eye,
the time of the program was rewound and we proceeded with filming.
Eh?
“What’s this program you mentioned?”
… you ask…
The program is…
Um… How should I explain it…
Well, it’s like a schedule
and a progress table and a plan layout put together.
When filming,
be it a drama or a movie,
you film according to a story line or flow right.
Basically,
you start filming from what you can film first,
and pretty much make it in a way
that has a good efficiency to it
and fits well with how the technical staff works.
Of course,
when there are multiple actors involved,
the schedules of the number of actors’ are also included,
and the program becomes like a life.
Well, in terms of a CM, basically,
when I’m the only one doing it, the program is such that
cameras and the technical staff
can do their settings earlier.
That’s why,
as much as possible the waiting time well be kept short but,
that means that the program has to be well assembled.
Eh?
“If that’s the case, are there times when you keep having to wait?”
… you ask…
Yeah.
Usually in such situations,
the end time written in the program
will typically say that if things go well they’ll push for 2 to 3 hours.
You’ll be surprised.
Until now, NHK is the one that stretches with the program the most…
During the filming of the historical drama「Fuurin Kazan」,
that was something that surprised me…
Well, it seems like its something that’s said a lot about historical dramas.
My end time was scheduled to be 8 at night.
Then, it becomes something like,
when I get to the filming location in the morning
I don’t see any filming schedule at all!
「Huh? What now?」
Even if I asked that, everyone said they had no idea.
「So, I’ll come back later?」
I said things like that too but
they started telling me to “wait in standby!”.
So, I just waited in standby for long periods of time.
When I finally got told “It’s about time for you to get made up!”
that was about 2 hours later.
Then, after I put on the armour and the kimono,
「Please wait in standby!」
was what they told me.
When I asked “how long?”, no one knew.
In the end, I kept taking off and putting on
the kimono over and over again through out but,
we didn’t progress at all.
In the end,
I believe it only ended the next morning at 9…
That is,
to date, what they call the 2nd longest record
for a historical drama though.
I’m supposed to report that next day at 10 in the morning so
it’s just another hour away until then right?
In other words,
the program was rearranged again.
As that caused a whole week to get displaced, it was quite a hassle.
Halfway through, Ogata Ken-san’s health got bad too…
it was really tough.
Now it’s become a funny story but,
in reality the staff rotating at the location
probably found it unbearable…
Well, this time’s
the filming of the CM for the【Premium Marbled Oyster Mushrooms】
went quite smoothly.
So, again, just like that I headed toe another shooting location
and started another shoot.
This time, during my stay it feels like it’s been shoots everyday,
and doing recordings in between those times…
I had a shoot at ROEN too.
I think it was a shoot for a photobook…
Pretty good pictures were shot.
I’m already 42 right?
『I wonder until when can I still remain unchanged in photos…』
That thought occasionally crosses my mind.
Amongst the world’s aging actors
and artistes
there are people who use the word 【deterioration】
as an expression.
The media also creates a fuss by throwing around the word deterioration.
I think that are many who
give a lot of harsh critics about others’ looks
aside of their own faces.

Don’t you start using words like deterioration.
Well,
because I’m aging,
the number of wrinkles have increased compared to the past.
But, y’know.
To age is not the same as to deteriorate.
In the first place,
the words【to mature】,
and the words【to pile up the years】,
originally have different meanings right?
When we say【to mature】,
we remove the things we have to do
from all the “baggage” we’re responsible for
and leave them somewhere.
That’s why,
it is inevitable that with the reduced burdensome baggage,
you’ll first feel at ease.
But, if you realise
aren’t there many people who lose their spirit
when they leave even their【dreams】behind somewhere
within their important “baggage”?
To pile up the years,
is to do filing
for each of the “documents” that you’re responsible for
which have piled up on your desk.
The documents would have piled up like a mountain.
The things that you have to attend to will increase a lot.
That too comes year by year.
But,
if everyday you read and arrange
those documents that have piled up,
when you realise what you have to take care of now,
and what you should do,
you will find skills and abilities that you never thought of when you were younger,
and a firm self-confidence that has been cultivated over the years
within yourself in overflowing amounts that you didn’t even know of.
That’s what it is right?
Indeed,
I’m 42 this year.
If youth is counted in numbers,
and winning is decided on how low your number is,
I would’ve lost.
If you think that more problems are captured as your age number goes up,
and that those who hold a younger age number are at an advantage,
that is probably true.
But y’know,
if the actual results of the accumulation of experience per age
is switched with the age as a number,
I won’t lose to anyone in this.
I don’t feel like I can lose to others who have the same age number as me.
But that’s true right?
The large mass of experience that I have,
definitely exceeds the people who function at normal hours only.
Considering I sleep only 3 hours a day,
compared to anyone else,
I’ve definitely experienced more things.
And,
this I can frankly say.
I strive harder than anyone else.
Because I hate to lose.
To the extent where one will think I’ve got bats in the belfry,
I fight everyday like my life is on the line
with the thought deep in my heart that
I don’t even want to lose to a me who is even a tiny step ahead of myself.
I’m still like that even now.
Exactly, that’s why.
I’m always building up.
I work hard and cultivate self-confidence and experience
onto my own weak mind.
And,
even if there are lots of unforeseen troubles coming up
from the irreplaceable experience that I get from there,
I can become much nicer to others too.
When you realise it, that’s how it’s become.
This is
even to the younger, sharpened me,
something that was quite unimaginable.
As you should know,
life doesn’t only have good things happening.
Instead,
you can even feel like
painful things happen more often than not.
But, because of that,
it makes me want to deliver and create more
that can make people smile
and make them feel happy from within their hearts.
I’ve become abundant with ideas.
If this is included
in what we call my【deterioration】,
then I welcome being greatly deteriorated.
Furthermore,
instead of writing that I’m in【deterioration】
it’s more like I’m right in the midst of being in a fierce【full bloom】.
In the life of GACKT,
I can say with full confidence that right now I’m at the【strongest and craziest】time.

No,
sono tornato in Giappone per poco
per filmare un CM e
altri diversi shoots.
Quando sono tornato qualche giorno fa, sono andato dritto a filmare.
ero abbastanza stanco ma,
è stato magnifico riuscire a filmare una cosa buona.
Ed anche perchè è finito prima del previsto.
Eh?
“Hai cominciato a filmare dalla mattina anche questa volta?”
… mi chiedi…
No,
questa volta è partito dal pomeriggio.
In mattinata ho avuto un altro meeting,
quindi dopo che è finito,
sono andato allo studio di registrazione.
Quando sono entrato nella location dello shooting
sono già pronti a filmare in breve tempo.
Il setup delle scene qui
sono state davvero veloci.
E, subito dopo che mi sono seduto è partito il camera test.
Poi, quando è partito
la lista del programma era un po’ in ritardo.
In un batter d’occhio,
il tempo del programma è stato recuperato e siamo andati avanti a filmare.
Eh?
“Qual è questo programma che hai menzionato?”
… mi chiedi…
Il programma è…
Um…come potrei spiegarlo…
Beh, è come una schedule
e un piano progressi ed un piano di layout da mettere insieme.
Mentre si filma,
che sia un drama o un film,
tu filmi secondo una story line giusto.
Di base,
cominci a filmare da dove puoi filmare per prima cosa,
e più che altro farlo in un modo
che abbia una buona efficienza
e che si adatti al lavoro tecnico dello staff.
Di certo,
quando sono coinvolti più attori,
è anche inclusa la schedule dei numeri degli attori,
ed il programma diventa tipo vita.
Beh, in termine di CM, di base,
quando sono l’unico a farlo, il programma è fatto in modo in cui
le telecamere e lo staff tecnico
possono organizzarsi prima.
Ecco perchè,
il più possibile il tempo di attesa sarà reso più breve,
il che significa che il programma sarà ben assemblato.
Eh?
“Se questo è il caso, ci sono momenti in cui hai dovuto aspettare?”
… mi chiedi…

Di solito in queste situazioni,
l’ora di fine scritta nel programma
si potrà dire che se le cose vanno bene si può andare avanti di 2 o 3 ore.
Sarai sorpreso.
Fino ad ora, NHK è uno di quelli che rallenta i programmi maggiormente…
Mentre filmavo il drama storico「Fuurin Kazan」,
è stato qualcosa che mi ha sorpreso…
Beh, sembra come se sia qualcosa che dice molto riguardo i drama storici.
La fine del mio lavoro era programmata per le 8 di sera.
Poi,è diventato qualcosa tipo,
quando vado in una location per filmare alla mattina
non vedo nessuna programmazione per filmare!
「Huh? Cosa ora?」
Anche se chiedo questo, tutti dicono che non ne hanno idea.
「Quindi, torno dopo?」
Ho detto cose come queste anche
loro hanno cominciato a dirmi “rimani in standby!”.
Quindi, sono rimasto in standby per lunghi periodi di tempo.
Quando finalmente mi hanno detto “E’ arrivato quasi il tuo momento!”
era quasi 2 ore dopo.
Poi, dopo aver indossato l’armatura ed il kimono,
「Per favore rimani in stand by!」
mi era stato detto.
Quando ho domandato “per quanto?”, nessuno lo sapeva.
Alla fine, sono andato avanti a togliermi e rimettermi
il kimono continuamente ma,
non siamo andati avanti per niente.
Alla fine,
penso di aver finito alle 9 di mattina…
Quello è,
parlando in date, quello che loro chiamano il 2° record
per un dramma storico.
Dovrei dire che il giorno seguente alle 10 di mattina quindi
è solo un’altra ora in più giusto?
In altre parole,
il programma è stato nuovamente riarrangiato.
Tutto questo ha causato lo spostamento di una settimana, ed era abbastanza una seccatura.
A metà strada, la salute di Ogata Ken è peggiorata…
è stato davvero difficile.
Ora è diventata una storia divertente ma,
ma in realtà la rotazione dello staff alla location
è stata trovata probabilmente non sostenibile…
Beh, la registrazione del CM
di questa volta per il【Premium Marbled Oyster Mushrooms】
è andato avanti abbastanza tranquillamente.
Quindi, ancora, così sono andato in un’altra location
e ho cominciato un altro shoot.
Questa volta, durante la mia permanenza sembra quasi una cosa che si fa tutti i giorni,
e registrare ogni tanto…
Ho avuto uno shoot anche per ROEN.
penso fosse uno shoot per un photobook…
Sono state scattate foto molto carine.

Questo pensiero ha occasionalmente attraversato la mia mente.
Nel mondo degli attori che stanno invecchiando
e artisti
ci sono persone che hanno usato la parola 【deterioramento】
come espressione.
I media hanno anche creato un casino buttando in giro la parola deterioramento.
Io penso che ci siano alcuni che
fanno un sacco di brutte critiche riguardo i look altrui
fregandosene della loro faccia.

Non cominciare ad usare parole come deterioramento.
Beh,
siccome sto invecchiando,
il numero di rughe sono aumentate rispetto al passato.
Ma, sai.
Invecchiare non è la stessa cosa che deteriorarsi.
In primo luogo,
le parole【maturare】,
e le parole【collezionare anni】,
originariamente hanno diversi significati giusto?
Quando diciamo【maturare】,
rimuoviamo le cose che dobbiamo fare
da tutto il “bagaglio” di cui siamo responsabili
e lasciamole da qualche parte.
Ecco perchè,
è inevitabile che con il bagaglio di peso più ridotto,
per primo ti sentirai più leggero.
Ma, se realizzi
non ci sono molte persone che hanno perso il loro spirito
quando lasciamo i loro【sogni】da qualche parte indietro
insieme al loro importante “bagaglio”?
Collezionare anni,
è fare archiviazione
per ognuno dei “documenti” di cui sei responsabile
che hai impilati sulla tua scrivania.
I documenti potrebbero essere impilati come una montagna.
Le cose che avrai da fare aumenteranno tanto.
Questo succede anno dopo anno.
Ma,
se ogni giorno leggi e organizzi
questi documenti che sono stati impilati,
quando realizzi quello di cui ti interessi ora,
e cosa dovresti fare,
troverai capacità ed abilità che non avresti mai pensato di avere quando eri giovane,
ed una ferma autostima che è stata coltivata durante gli anni
straripante dentro di voi che non sapevate di avere.
Così è giusto?
Sicuramente,
ho 42 anni quest’anno.
Se la gioventù è contata in numeri
e la vittoria sia decisa su quanto basso sia il tuo numero,
io perderei.
Se pensi che i problemi aumentano con l’età,
e quelli che hanno un numero di età più giovane siano avvantaggiati,
questo è probabilmente vero.
Ma sai,
se l’attuale risultato è l’accumulo di esperienza per l’età
nessuno perderà in questo.
Non mi sento perdente rispetto agli altri miei coetanei.
Ma questo è vero giusto?
La grande esperienza che io ho,
definitivamente supera le persone che funzionano solo nelle ore normali.
Considerando che dormo 3 ore al giorno,
comparato con qualcun altro,
ho definitivamente avuto esperienza su più cose.
E,
questo è ciò che posso dire francamente.
Mi sforzo più di chiunque altro.
Perchè odio perdere.
Nella misura in cui si penserà che ho dei pipistrelli nel campanile
Combatto tutti i giorni in modo che la mia vita sia sempre in prima fila
con il profondo pensiero nel mio cuore che
non voglio perdere con un me stesso che sarà sempre un passo più avanti.
Io sono ancora così ora.
Esattamente, ecco perchè.
Io sto sempre costruendo.
Lavoro duramente e coltivo autostima ed esperienza
anche nella mia debole mente.
E,
anche se ci sono tanti problemi imprevisti che saltano fuori
dall’insostituibile esperienza che ho ottenuto fino ad adesso,
io posso diventare migliori degli altri.
Quando realizzi questo, ecco cosa diventa.
Questo è
anche per i più giovani, ed il più acuto me stesso,
qualcosa che era quasi non immaginabile.
Come dovresti sapere,
la vita non è fatta solo di cose belle.
Invece,
puoi anche sentire
cose dolorose che accadono più frequentemente.
Ma, a causa di quello,
mi fa venir voglia di dare e creare più cose
che possano far sorridere le persone
e farle sentire felici dai loro cuori.
Sono diventato abbondante con le idee.
Se questo è incluso
in ciò che chiamiamo il mio【deterioramento】,
allora sono felice di essere deteriorato.
inoltre,
invece di scrivere che sono in【deterioramento】
è più che sono proprio nel mezzo del diventare feroce【piena fioritura】.
Nella vita di GACKT,
posso dire con piena stima che giusto ora sono nel【più forte e più pazzo】momento.
