Hello, this is GACKT.
Well, let’s see. This is sudden, but regarding my (upcoming performance on) Music Station… It’s been cancelled. Yes.
So… Since there are quite a number of parties who are involved in this, I won’t provide a detailed explanation for this, but…
Right in the beginning, when I received the offer, they said to me that they would like me to appear as a guest and sing a cover of a summer song. And on my end, I decided, ‘Well, if that’s the case, alright then.’ This time, I gave my consent in the beginning.
However, when information about the program’s content was released, I thought, ‘Wait a minute? Isn’t this different than what I was told?’ So… After that, I checked in and received confirmation that… for some reason, between the TV station and the middlemen was a situation where the communication of information was not getting through properly at all, and everything kept piling up and (eventually culminated in a case where) what I understood and what the other party understood was a little… quite… well, it’s not a little, it was very different.
It got me thinking, ‘Isn’t that kind of discourteous?’ And so, I decided to tell them, ‘I’m afraid I must decline (to perform).’
This isn’t about pinning the blame on anyone, but it’s simply a case where there was a break in communication and information did not get conveyed well. And, well, I just consider this with the hope that such a case would not have to happen again in future.
However, what I feel bad about is… I’ve received a lot of messages from those who have been looking forward to enjoying the song, those who wanted to listen to it, wanted to watch the performance. And I’m really really sorry to those people.
You could say that this is an apology. But I thought that it would be nice to bring to you the song I planned to sing on this program from my studio; Shima Uta in acapella.
Since this is the situation we’re presently in, I’ll be glad as long as this song can bring healing to even at least one person’s heart.

Bene, vediamo. È una cosa improvvisa, ma per quanto riguarda la mia prossima esibizione su Music Station… È stata cancellata. Sì.
Quindi… Dato che ci sono diverse parti coinvolte, non vi darò una spiegazione dettagliata, ma…
Proprio all’inizio, quando ho ricevuto l’offerta, mi hanno detto che avrebbero voluto che mi presentassi come ospite e cantassi una cover di una canzone estiva. E da parte mia, ho deciso: “Beh, se è così, allora va bene”. Questa volta ho dato il mio consenso all’inizio.
Tuttavia, quando sono state rilasciate le informazioni sul contenuto del programma, ho pensato: “Aspetta un attimo? Non è diverso da quello che mi è stato detto?” Quindi… Dopo di che, ho fatto il check-in e ho ricevuto la conferma che… per qualche motivo, tra l’emittente e gli intermediari c’era una situazione in cui la comunicazione delle informazioni non era affatto buona, e tutto continuava ad accumularsi e alla fine è culminato in un caso in cui quello che capivo io e quello che capiva l’altra parte era un po’… abbastanza… beh, era molto diverso.
Mi ha fatto pensare: “Non è un po’ scortese? E così, ho deciso di dire loro: “Temo di dover rifiutare”.
Non si tratta di dare la colpa a qualcuno, ma è semplicemente un caso in cui c’è stata una rottura nella comunicazione e le informazioni non sono state trasmesse bene. E, beh, lo spero solo che un caso del genere non debba ripetersi in futuro.
Tuttavia, quello che mi dispiace è che… Ho ricevuto molti messaggi da coloro che non vedevano l’ora di godersi la canzone, che volevano ascoltarla, che volevano assistere alla performance. E sono davvero molto dispiaciuto per quelle persone.
Si potrebbe dire che queste sono delle scuse. Ma ho pensato che sarebbe stato bello farvi ascoltare la canzone che avevo intenzione di cantare in questo programma dal mio studio; Shima Uta a cappella.
Poiché questa è la situazione in cui ci troviamo attualmente, sarò felice finché questa canzone potrà portare la guarigione anche al cuore di almeno una persona.
