GACKT unveiled an unreleased private photo on a live broadcast celebrating the release of his new song ARROW
On 7 October, GACKT’s first new single after a year 『ARROW』 was released.
About a week before this, on the night of the super moon, 28 September, there was the world premier of his new MV on Nico Music Talk Program 「Nico Biju」, and GACKT made an emergency appearance at Ikebukuro’s “NicoBukurp” satellite studio. The program began with about 120 fans who were lucky enough to win viewing tickets in a lottery with a super high number of applicants.
GACKT, who was welcomed with loud cheers and many comments from users online, said suddenly 「I can’t read Japanese so will you write everything in Hiragana? English is OK」 expressing suddenly being put in a spot. Fans happily entered comments in in Hiragana, and it became an unprecedented situation with the screen being inundated with Hiragana characters.
In the first corner, it started with a familiar section of Nico Biju’s which asks about the guest’s private life, the 「Nico Biju Personal Background SHOW」. A meeting with precious stories from his youth and his music, and also an episode overseas about having been left behind in an airport in Spain, it was a talk that exceeded its scheduled time! It was a great, lively narrative that was well enjoyed.
Then, in the next corner, is another familiar section of the program 「Nico Biju Off-shot」. In came a volley of valuable photos. A picture was found of GACKT, in his home dojo filled with gym equipment, guiding training for L’Arc-en-Ciel’s HYDE whose face could not be seen because he was face-down in the photo! To this, there were many messages expressing surprise. We also revealed a never-before-seen abs photo, and from here they proceeded to talk about GACKT’s style of training. He also shares that at present, he’s into 「suspended sit-ups」, where he stretches straight out from a suspension machine and do sit ups in that position, and shared an unexpected episode, saying that because 「in the movie of Fist of the North Star, Kenjirou did it」 which made him want to be able to do it too. Also, he revealed the difference of scale of a Lamborghini that is expected to cost several tens of million yen each, which he has 2 of.
Here, at last, they proceeded to the awaited world premier of the 『ARROW』Music Video. He mentioned that points that make it a must-watch are that 【The filming for this was completed in a day】, 【Including myself, the actors’ faces are pretty scary】, 【blood often appears】, and that this could be a hint to his concept tour that starts next year on 19 March 「GACKT WORLD TOUR 2016 LAST VISUALIVE supported by Nestle」.
After watching the precious Music Video, it was found that they were running out of program time. The specially extended time to jump into the corner 「GACKT-sensei’s！Worries counseling room」 where users’ questions are addressed. Initially, they only had time for 1 question due to time constraints but at GACKT”s suggestion 「Let’s go slower?」 they exchanged laughs, and he answered 5 concerns, some of which harshly, in the true spirit of service!
After that, in the premium corner for channel members only, there was a challenge with penalties against MC Hoshino Takuya in the Shiritori word game. For some reason, at the end, there was an unexpected development where GACKT followed 「sekkushi (sexy)」 with “ochi”! Until the end, GACKT surprised fans and brought them joy.
『ARROW』, which was impressively ranked #1 in Dwango JP’s daily chart where there was a pre-release, has been officially released today on 7 October!! Along with the MV’s worldview and prominent feelings, we are looking forward to the live tour which starts next year.
