About Lab Grown Diamonds
A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond that has exactly the same material properties as a natural diamond. Technology has made it possible to grow lab-grown diamonds in a facility that recreates the growth environment of a natural diamond, just like a natural diamond. Lab-grown diamonds can be grown as pure crystals, free from impurities because the environment in which they are grown is controlled by humans. This is known as Type 2 and is a rare and beautiful diamond that occurs in less than 2% of natural diamonds. With this new technology, lab-grown diamonds are therefore expected to become a natural part of the Japanese diamond market.

About the collaboration with GACKT
The Japan Grown Diamond Association was founded with the aim of developing the Japanese market, promoting knowledge of the industry, and improving the distribution of lab-grown diamonds, which are becoming increasingly popular in the global market. This exhibition is a collaboration between GACKT, who has been appointed Executive Organiser of the Japan Grown Diamond Association as of 1 July 2019 and chalk art with the aim of promoting the Lab Grown Diamond to a wider audience.
