GACKT’s rock band, GACKT YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz, kicks off world tour!
In 2026, GACKT will fully restart his musical career.
A symbolic stage for this was the opening performance of GACKT YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz’s (hereafter YFCz) world tour, held on January 18th at “GACKT YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz ~WORLD TOUR ATTACK OF YFCz~” (venue: KT Zepp Yokohama).
GACKT has publicly stated in New Year’s programs and on his own YouTube channel that “2026 will be the year I fully resume my musical career.” In response to this statement, fans have responded with enthusiastic comments such as,
“South America, a national tour… I have a feeling 2026 will be a legendary year,” and “A great start, a great explosion. I’ll follow with all my might!” This latest live performance was a night that “demonstrated” those words.
A new SE sounded in the darkened venue. Band members HIDEHIRO (drums), MiA (guitar), DAICHI (bass), HIROTO (guitar), and TAKATORA (guitar) appeared one by one, and the moment GACKT, sporting long hair, finally appeared, the excitement in the venue reached a fever pitch.
“YFCz, a new chapter begins. Go wild.”
The concert that began with these words left a strong impression, not just as the first day of the tour, but as a declaration of the next phase in GACKT’s musical career.
About GACKT YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz (YFCz)
GACKT YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz is a visual kei rock band formed in March 2010, centered around GACKT. Based on the theme of “man,” they have garnered passionate support both in Japan and overseas thanks to their intense rock sound and captivating live performances.
Her signature songs include “DYBBUK,” “SPEED MASTER,” “JESUS,” and “ALL MY LOVE.” GACKT’s charisma onstage and the energy generated by the band’s unity are said to be unparalleled.
YFCz’s World Tour Experience Has Driving Overseas Enthusiasm
YFCz has been actively expanding their international activities since their formation. In July 2010, they embarked on a European tour, performing five shows in four countries—the UK, France, Spain, and Germany. The following year, in 2011, they successfully completed a large-scale EU tour, visiting 13 cities in nine countries. The band recorded an unprecedented overseas audience for a Japanese rock band, demonstrating why it is said that “GACKT’s live shows transcend borders.”
Live report from the opening performance on January 18th

The concert got off to a thumping start. The first song, “DYBBUK,” instantly elevated the energy in the venue, and the following song, “SPEED MASTER,” featured a melodic sound accompanied by white CO2 smoke billowing into the air, creating a truly “signal of fire.”

During “DISPAR,” the audience responded to the lively drum beat, uniting the venue with a call of “SHOUT!” YFCz’s signature call-and-response of “Man! Woman!” was also present, and the strong bond of trust and enthusiasm between GACKT, who appeared in his long-haired “Demon King” style, and the audience was clearly united.

The World Tour is a “Signal of Restart”
This world tour is not an extension of the past, but the beginning of an entirely new flow. Starting with this opening performance, a tour of three South American countries is scheduled for February 2026. GACKT is once again fulfilling a promise to his overseas fans who have believed in him and waited for him for so long.

GACKT LAST SONGS 2026 feat. K
“LAST SONGS” is an acoustic concert series featuring strings and piano, presented by GACKT and his ally K. The carefully selected ballads and mid-tempo songs, combined with live music, lighting, and video, create a “one-of-a-kind live experience” that will never be repeated, even with the same setlist.
Affectionately known among fans as the “most tear-jerking concert,” or “Namida-katsu Live,” the concerts showcase vocalist GACKT’s unique performances in a dramatic setting where tense silence and roaring emotions intertwine.
