Honestly, I’m disappointed that our January performance in Shanghai has been postponed.
However, I don’t think it’s in our place as musicians to say anything about this.
We are in a position to connect countries.
We hope to be there to create small opportunities for people from different countries to understand each other through music and expression.
I believe that cultural exchange has that power.
And I sincerely hope that these small accumulations will one day take on a concrete form.
By the way,
Before this [Demon King Symphony] performance,
I went to a club dance event for the first time in a while to give the members a taste of the back-of-the-environment groove.
I was able to reunite with not only familiar dancers, but also dancers who were in elementary school at the time.
As expected, when you stand in a place like that,
your body begins to pick up the rhythm without any reason.
It may be a place that is difficult for those unfamiliar with it.
But there is genuine stimulation there.
I’d grown distant since moving abroad, but I was reminded once again how important it is to visit places like this.
It was the perfect environment to observe how each person keeps their rhythm.
Performances by dancers who competed in the Olympics and famous dancers in the D-League.
They were all first-rate.
Inspiration isn’t something that’s just given to you.
It can only be obtained by those who take the initiative.
Next year, I’ll make a conscious effort to take my members to more different places.
All of this is to make it a part of our stage performance.
It was a great inspiration.
I’m looking forward to 2026.
