Is there any story more stupid than this?
It seems absurd that the person whose bike was stolen has to just accept it,
while a minor who gets into an accident on a stolen bike is protected.
If this were allowed to continue,
thieves would just sell their bikes to minors and,
“Even if they get caught, they can get away with saying they don’t have the money.”
How can this be called “equality under the law”?
Whose human rights are being protected?
I also find it hard to understand the mentality of the police,
“We’ve found your stolen bike, so please come and collect it,”
and then hand over a wrecked bike that’s been wrecked after an accident.

This story is so stupid,
it reminded me of the word “unreasonable” for the first time in a while.
