GACKT Official Blog update. Translation below:
Arrived in Australia.
In Sydney’s airport for the first time in awhile.
When heading this way
the colours of the clouds and sky change.
It really is a crystal-clear sky and sea
and before landing, the streets that unfolded before me were beautiful.
Immediately, I went through the security check.
What’s interesting
is that both the security and the shop staff were energetic.
I suppose such pleasant and upbeat personnel among the security staff
is also a characteristic of this country.
When walking down the aisle, I once again noticed
that both men and women are, in any case, big.
Recently I thought my body has grown bigger but
despite that, compared to the shop staff I passed by
I overwhelmingly felt that my body is small
and the words 『What the hell…』 slipped out.
The atmosphere in the airport feels good.
Instead of going to the VIP lounge
walking around suits me more.
It was soon time to board again.
I started hearing smatterings of French
and felt a strange discomfort.
「What… although I’m in Australia
why is there French being spoken…
I guess they’re tourists…」
was what I thought, but the tour conductor started speaking in French too
and everyone was speaking in French.
While thinking ???? I started looking into my memories.
Ah! I see…
I now realised that New Caledonia
is French territory!
As usual, I then laughed
at my own absentmindedness.
Anyway
the ocean is beautiful when looking down at it from the sky.
Greenery stretches out over the vast land.
Although it’s cloudy
scenery that puts me in a good mood spreads out below my eyes.
When I looked out of the window after we landed,
a relaxing air drifted by.
I immediately headed for immigration.
The signs are completely in French.
Even though I’ve come to such a place, knowing French is good.
I love English that has a French accent.
For some reason it feels sexy.
The immigration staff have wonderful smiles too.
Just like that I went to the airport’s parking lot.
Mm, the air is good.
As expected, I do like these kinds of countryside areas.
I’m really looking forward to finding out what kind of city this is.
