On the 16th, actress Sasaki Nozomi attended the public dubbing for the movie 「Kong: Skull Island」(to be released March 25) with artiste GACKT.

GACKT 「I’m nice to cute people」

Sasaki, who will be recording the next day, greeted nervously 「It’s my first time doing dubs, and I’m feeling extremely nervous, it’s also my first time dubbing in front of cameras so I’ll do my best」. 「Since GACKT-san is hear, please lead the way」 she said, relying on GACKT as she started her first public dubbing.

Sasaki recalled the moment when shei was offered the chance to dub the role of the photojournalist Mason Weaver, acted by Brie Larson, Academy Award winner for Best Actress in the movie 「Room」, 「“Me!?” was the initial feeling that I got. Of course I was unsure, but I thought that it’s important to challenge myself with something new, and since I figured that such chances rarely come by, I thought that I should definitely give this a try」. She also appealed 「A place was provided where I could watch the movie and, it was a movie that was thrilling and I couldn’t tear my eyes away from it. I think that this movie is one that even women will definitely enjoy」.

Also, she was asked whether ambitions of foraying into Hollywood grew through this movie, to which Sasaki answered, bright eyed 「It would be an honour, if there was such a chance I would definitely like to take up the challenge」. She was enthusiastic as she added 「As this time’s dubbing is also a first for me, I think it would be nice if I can try more and more new things」.

Relating to the scene where Weaver and King Kong connected with each other, Sasaki was asked “Was there a recent incident when you felt connected with someone?”.

Sasaki revealed 「(On 8 February) when I turned 29, I received branded kitchen knives that I’ve always wanted from my stylist, even though I’ve never said that I wanted them, and it made me feel like we were connected」.
