ItalianoGundam.Info : 「28th Tokyo International Film Festival」finally kicks off! Prestigious guests appear at the red carpet Gundam special!
Asia’s biggest international film festival, the「28th Tokyo International Film Festival」started today, 22 October (Thursday), and an opening「Red Carpet」event was held at Tokyo’s Roppongi Hills Arena.
At the red carpet, many prestigious guests graced the film festival, and from the special screenings of「THE WORLD OF GUNDAM」, general director Tomino Yoshiyuki, Yasuhiko Yoshikazu, Ogawara Kunio, Ikeda Shuichi, Furuya Toru, Han Megumi, and GACKT made an appearance.
The prominent faces who are associated with Gundam raised cheers when they walked past the area packed with reporters and spectators. At the end, they lined up before the monitor with 1/10 scale「Gundam」and「G-Self」figurines, and was doused in flashes all together, greatly boosting the opening event.
The「29th Tokyo Film Festival」will be held from today until the 31 October (Sat) in the Roppongi and Shinjuku area, where a large variety of works will be screened at「TOHO Cinemas Roppongi」,「TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku」,「Shinjuku Piccadilly」and「Shinjuku Balt 9」during the event.
The feature screenings entitled「THE WORLD OF GUNDAM」, include a selection of 26 works from the Gundam series which will be screened, and a talk show which will be conducted with prestigious invited guests. Furthermore, cut films of the theatrical Gundam trilogy will be distributed as gifts to attendees.
