Il 23 ed il 24 agosto a Joetsu, prefettura di Niigata, il Comitato Esecutivo del Festival per l’ “89° Kenshin Festival, è stato annunciato il 13 Giugno nella città di Joestu prima della conferenza stampa. E’ stato anche annunciato che il musicista GACKT parteciperà al Kenshin Festival quest’anno. Il Comitato Esecutivo del festival ha anche detto si essere interessanti ad espandere le dimensioni dell’area di performance e di portare più persone ad unirsi ai festeggiamenti.
GACKT apparirà il 24 agosto per il “Kick-Off Procession” che comincia alle 3.30 pomeridiane e per il “Rievocazione storica della battaglia di Kawanakajima” a partire dalle 6.00 pomeridiane. La città stima il budget per l’invito di GACKT compresa la tassa si apparizione, il costo della sicurezza ecc. approssimativamente intorno ai 18.8 milioni di yen. L’affluenza prevista per l’evento è stimata pari a quella dell’anno precedente, con circa 200.000 persone.
Il Comitato Esecutivo del Festival ha anche detto riguardo alle “persone che sono più interessate a vedere un GACKT Kenshin”, che vogliono aumentare l’area in cui si esibirà GACKT e che prevedono di apportare modifiche al tempo di apparizione. Da qui in poi, saranno in coordinazione con la squadra di GACKT.
Koyama Masaaki (74) il presidente della Commissione, era entusiasta riguardo al fatto che il Kenshin Festival raggiungerà il traguardo del 90° anno l’anno prossimo e per l’apertura del Hokutiku Shinkansen. Ha detto “Vogliamo soddisfare i visitatori di quest’anno e portare una folla ancor più grande per il Kenshin Festival del prossimo anno.”
Il Comitato è in procinto di produrre manifesti e immagini pubblicitarie e inizierà le vendite e le pubblicazioni fuori dalla città dai primi di Luglio.

The Committee is in the process of producing the publicity posters and pictures, and will begin sales and postings outside the city from early July.
