GACKT celebrated his 45th birthday yesterday, on 4 July, Wednesday, and held『GACKT’s -45th Birthday Concert- LAST SONGS』at Shinkiba STUDIO COAST, Tokyo.

Famous guests were gathered at the concert to celebrate GACKT’s birthday. Golden Bomber’s Kiryuuin Sho, JON, who was once a co-vocalist in the band “YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz”, Swedish Visual-Kei artiste YOHIO who collaborated with him in “Sakura, Chiru…”, DIR EN GREY’s drummer Shinya, and Korean J-pop singer-songwriter K, spoke of their times with GACKT and performed with him in the songs that were picked out as “songs that I want to sing at the end” (GACKT).

During the encore, Kiryuuin Sho came back on stage with a large birthday cake to congratulate GACKT and also presented video messages from YOSHIKI and HYDE to GACKT.

At the end of it, he said “It will make me happy if this song will continue to encourage everyone if I were to ever disappear”, and gave a solo performance of “P.S. I LOVE U”, closing off the 3 hours long event.
