GACKT Official blog update. Translation below:

My stay in Japan is usually hectic after all.
The period of my stay is packed with appointments.
Of course, it’s not all work.
All my appointments, like meeting people, training,
or dinner gatherings, are separated into their own timings.

I quickly got ready for a meeting that was going to start in the morning.
We’ve started moving on new project but
I can’t talk about this in detail yet.
My friend, MAX Murai, came too, and we immediately got into it.
We spoke a lot about the details.
It felt like we kept talking two hours.

The meeting ended successfully,
and after a short break, I had to check on the new sunglasses products.
Putting them on one by one, I checked it’s actual feel and appearance.
The form of my sunglasses basically never change.
Only the colourway and the material gets changed a little.

This time, one of those that I quite like a lot
is the summer specification that white mixed in the frame.
I particularly recommend it to people with long hair.
No matter how long your fringe is, when you put it on,
it’ll bring out the presence of your eyes well.

If there are people who think that they’re not suited for sunglasses,
they should definitely try this design of mine too.
I think you’ll definitely like it.
There aren’t many that are this big a size too,
so this is something that women can use to make their faces look smaller too.

After the meeting, I went to the gym.
For the first time in awhile, I’m training with a number of people together in Japan.
Japan’s nationwide champ from WTF Taekwondo came from Kansai just to take part,
and similarly, Japan’s nationwide champ from ITF Taekwondo is joining in too.

Of course,
we’re simply gathering and training together in the gym but
such an arrangement is rare.
Looks like I’ll be getting a kick out of various things.

Kimisawa Yuuki, Baru, Sato, and the others also joined us
and we began with a rather lively atmosphere.

I taught everyone training that they can do at home without weights.
One by one, I taught them only the things that produce results even if only a short period of time is used.
I’ll take videos and collect them, then upload them on Instagram again so do watch them.
On top of it being quite effective, your body will become beautiful and usable.
Of course,
weights aren’t being used so the difficulty is no joke though.

In the middle of the training,
one of the things that I’m always saying to everyone is 【correct the posture】.
This is a way of thinking that is found in both martial arts and life.

No matter how hard you work, if you don’t train with the right posture,
it won’t be an exaggeration to say that the effectiveness will fall to below half of what it could be.

It’s a sight often seen in training but
there are many people who simply decide on a number of reps and head towards it,
and even when their posture collapses, they just frantically and desperately continue.
I’m not saying that you shouldn’t do reckless things but
there’s no need to do it until your posture gets destroyed.
By training with a bad posture, not only will you break down your body’s balance,
but it also becomes easier to spoil your muscles.
Maintaining the right posture while doing things properly
is the best and shortest way to beautifully build a good, or in other words a 【usable body】.

It’s the same in life.
Normally, when you’re doing something, you have to correct properly the posture of your own heart.
If you do it with bad posture, you’ll probably end up with some kind of big failure,
and you won’t be able to pick fix things from that failure
or you’ll end up losing someone or something precious to you.

It has great meaning for someone to learn martial arts in their childhood.
In martial arts, the most important thing is 【posture】.
There is almost no martial art that wants you to only
punch or kick your opponent with a great deal of strength.

When learning martial arts, the important thing is to always correct your posture.
This isn’t simply about the physical sense of it,
but often, it’s also referring to the mental sense of it.
If you keep getting reminded about this over and over again since young,
you’ll will have a firm awareness of it,
and you’ll be able to understand how that meaning applies to life.

Of course,
it depends on the person who’s teaching you, there are also those who don’t place any importance on 【posture】 too but
I have never met a single person who takes posture lightly
among the good martial artists and the good leaders.
The top-class martial artists always correct their 【posture】.

You might as well say that to 【correct the posture】
is the principle for everything.

At the end, we trained until all of us were exhausted but
on this accursed hot day, training without the air conditioning on at all made it feel like we could get summer heat fatigue.
It made the outside feel cool.

Of course,
during training, we re-hydrated ourselves well
and had moderate breaks in between.

I sincerely hope that the number of wonderful and cool men around the world will increase a lot.
If that happens,
I think the number of wonderful women in the world will inevitably increase more too.
