GACKT Official Blog update. Translation below:

In DAY 3’s event, THE LITTLE ONE FOR ONE DROP,
I ended it in 130th place, the highest rank for a Japanese.

The tournament, which had 4,300 entrants,
had it’s number of participants abnormally increased with players,
who got kicked out from the main event, joining this event one after another.

Furthermore, because you can revive yourself as many times as you want,
all the super aggressive players came here too.
If you don’t make sure that you catch onto the flow of the pace around you,
you’ll get kicked out in the blink of an eye.

Looking around, I noticed that a lot of my friends have joined in too.
The vastness of the venue is also frightening.

『I want to play at the final table in the main venue…』

I thought as I looked at the site of the special venue.
I haven’t been able to play well in the first day, and thus far, my points can’t get raised much.

And despite that over 4,000 players are taking part,
I found myself at the same table as the world’s top prize money winner Daniel Negreanu.
Although we both let out a happy 『Ohhh〜〜〜〜!!!』 when we saw each other’s faces,
both of us couldn’t really get any good cards,
and ended up proceeding into Day 2 with rather low chip counts.

In the later half of Day 2, majority of the Japanese players got kicked out,
and I, myself, was hoping to be the first Japanese to win at the final table.
Super aggressive.
However, I won’t play since my position is bad.
While taking care of these two things, I held on.
Then, maybe it’s paying off,
of maybe my method of attack works against Americans,
but I was able to forcefully raise my chips to 100,000 points.

While the side of the venue that wasn’t being used was quickly being dismantled and put away,
I really got into my rather aggressive stance of play,
and in one go, raised my chips to 450,000 points.

Then,
I was notified that all the Japanese players got kicked out,
but despite that my feelings of wanting to make it to the final table no matter what got boosted…

In the end,
when the tournament ended, I was the highest ranking Japanese at 130th place.
At the end, I suddenly wanted to try a few different things in the middle of the tournament,
and in the blink of an eye, I got myself kicked out…
With 4,300 participants, this was the result.
This time, my time in Vegas flew by in a flash but there were many things I gained,
and I’ll definitely make it to the final in the next tournament.
Watch me.
