GACKT Excited about 『Deadpool』’s Transcendental Action! 「How many people got injured?」

On May 26, singer GACKT attended the public movie premiere which was held in Tokyo for Hollywood movie 『Deadpool』. He displayed excitement as he made the transcendental action in the movie a big highlight, saying 「It’s different from all the action movies done until now, it leans more towards extreme martial arts, and it shows lots of detailed skills. It makes you wonder, exactly how many people got injured」.

The movie is a blockbuster film which welcomes Deadpool, the unorthodox hero, who also appeared in 『Wolverine：X-MEN ZERO』, as the main character. Wade Wilson, a former mercenary whose life expectancy was cut short by cancer, gets an invitation from a shady organisation, and ends up becoming subjected to human experimentation. Wade, who gained extraordinary healing abilities and an immortal body in exchange for an ugly body, becomes the unconventional sharp-tongued and self-centered hero, 「Deadpool」, and pursues Ajax who performed the experiments. It stars Ryan Reynolds, who also acted as the same character in 『Wolverine：X-MEN ZERO』. Rated R in the whole of the United States, it broke records as an exceptionally bit hit.

GACKT enthusiastically sharing about the charm of Deadpool

「Since Wolverine, I became a big fan of Deadpool, so I’ve been waiting for him to become a main character. He’s crazy, and has rather black (humor). The image of a stupid, but powerful hero is a new approach to me」, said GACKT as he talked about its charm. 「There’s a considerable amount of black humor」 he revealed, and flashed an audacious smile as he said 「My favourite is the avocado scene. That and the SM scene where he’s on all fours. You’ll get it once you watch it (laughs)」. Being that it was received as a huge hit in the States, he strongly highlighted 「If it doesn’t become a hit in Japan, it would seem like Japan is a boring country (to the world). I don’t like the idea of that so, please do spread the word (about this movie)」.

At the premiere, Creepy Nuts (R-Shitei & DJ Matsunaga), husband and wife, Miles and Lauren Mikolas, and Takano Tomomi made appearances as well. Rapper R-Shitei performed an impromptu rap which made the venue go wild.
